How do i carry over my settings from 1.2.0rc3 to 1.3.0rc2
Simple question, is there a way to carry over all the settings i've made in 1.2.0 to 1.3.0, instead of having to tick everything off individually again?

Copy the openttd.cfg file

if you are using the installer, the .cfg will automatically be reused. it will be in "My Documents\OpenTTD" (assuming you use windows)
The readme has more details on where the .cfg may be found/placed

In ~/.openttd at my system, but ymmv.
Anyway, the do not readme explains it all: http://vcs.openttd.org/svn/browser/trun ... e.txt#L421

Depends what operating system you have, of course...lekkimsm2500 wrote:... And where would that be located??
Try reading section 4.2 of the README file. That's what it's there for.
EDIT: Also in ~/.openttd/ here, although I have a couple more in other directories.

For the sake of completeness ...
Windows binaries on linux (wine) have the shared directory in ~/openttd/

In what scenario would that make any sense? Debugging platform-specific bugs?ChillCore wrote:Windows binaries on linux (wine)

Under either 'too lazy to patch and compile' , checking for windows specific bugs or having an old windows binary available but no source to recompile that one anymore.
Usually for me it falls under the first and third category but I have had use-cases for the second too.
And yes I have quite few windows binaries on my linux HDD, maybe a hundred or so that I keep for whenever I might need them or if I feel like continuing one of my older patched games.

Make that "~/OpenTTD", case sensitive after all.ChillCore wrote:Windows binaries on linux (wine) have the shared directory in ~/openttd/
