There is no such game. You're most likely playing OpenTTD and as such, your question would belong in the OpenTTD problems forum.

Are you and your father trying to play a game over the internet or locally?

Together with your installation you got a file named multiplayer.txt. The latest version can be found online. Please read it and try the suggestions listed in that file. If you still have trouble try to post a more specific problem, for example after starting a server does it show up on servers.openttd.org?
