everytime i start a new company it gets erased the next day. how do i stop being getting all my work wiped on online games?

Those are server-side settings which you cannot change as a player on a server. You can talk to the admins, though.

There's a choice of settings to change for admins:
- autoclean_protected: the time in in-game months after which the protection (password) of a company will be removed, if no-one plays the company
- autoclean-unprotected: the time in in-game months after which a not-passworded comany will be deleted
- min_vehicles_clean (or similar): the minimum amount of vehicles where a company with less will be deleted, if unattended.

Everything can be set to off or another value. Personally I tend to keep passworded companies but have no mercy with not-passworded companies.
