can't build Airplanes

Hello After a long time not playing open ttd i start playing it again.
But now i have a problem i can't build any airplane??
and my max airplane is 300 so that can't be the problem?.
I have the lates't download of open ttd 0.5.0.0.
can annyone help me please fix this?

Did you use a hangar when you tried?
And are you at a date where there are airplanes avalible?

Yes i did build a hangar and the airplanes are in my build list but i can't push the built this button its grey and i cant click on it

did you click on the hangar or on the plane list to open the "build plane" window?

I suggest you read the wiki: http://wiki.openttd.org/index.php/Airport_Construction

You need to click on the hangar on an airport (were the airplanes come in-out), the list that shows all your aircraft and says 'new aircraft' is NOT for building; it's for looking.

Also try using the tooltips (click somewhere with the right mouse button).

yes i did find it in the normal ttd i only had to click on the airport tanks A LOT

Hi, I have had the same kind of problems.

Its not a bug or anything. There may be 2 issues affecting this.
Perhaps the current date / year has a mismatch. For instance you may not be able to build an aircraft which introduction date
was somewhere in the 2000 but your current game year is showing at 1960.

There are 2 methods to correct this. One is the legal / Noble way of doing.
the other is a cheating method. So depends on which way you wish to resolve this Its between u and god ! HIHIH!

Noble manner
1) Click and HOLD the ? Icon (Help) button on the far right on the tool bar.
2) Then Point to Toggle Console then release the mouse button.
3) type the following without quotes and follow the caps " releaseengines "
4) Then Click and Hold the ? Icon again and release it, to close the console.

>> This should reset all vehicles building options.


The Cheating Method
1) Hold CTRL + ALT + C
Should open the cheat window options.

>> Click on the change date option.

This should work if it still does not. Then sadly, YOU need to call programmers at OPENTTD to help you.
