Missing Game Script

Post by Argus »

I'd like to play this scenario
viewtopic.php?f=60&t=88912
But the author set up Game Script. I have downloaded all the scripts for city development, none of them responds. Apparently it's an old, incompatible version. Is there any way to fix this?

You could maybe try converting the scenario to a height map and adding the gamescript manually.
Take a look at: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=74993
Why do it tomorrow when you can do it today

And how is it done?
But then I'd have to redeploy the cities, wouldn't I?
I tried to change the script in the editor. Maybe it will work.
Why can't the game report a missing script in such cases, as it does with newgrf?

Sounds like a good suggestion to make over on GitHub

And like a newgrf not found, the game could turn off the script, so cities would develop normally.
This way, if a person has games with the old script and loses it when switching to a new PC, he can delete the old games right away, because cities will not develop.
