:D YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!  8o :)) :!: :!:

FINALLY!!!! A REAL TTD2! *getting drool mop out* Better sticky this one guys. It's gonna be a hot topic! Maybe even its own forum (which makes sense). An interview with Chris is here

Looking at the screens, I can see the following things:

Screen 1

- Stone Viaducts
- Smooth Curves
- Diagonal tracks
- Streetcars/Trams
- Elevated Tracks
- Realistic looking Airports
- Build on Slopes
- People waiting at depots

Screen 2

- More trams
- New levels starting with Platelayer instead of Engineer :D
- New GUI which looks similar to the old one, but new at the same time
- different radii of curves

Screen 3

- More, larger curve radii
- Turnouts and 'S' curves
- Signals
- Elevated stations!
- Higher bridges
- Overhead Catenary
- Tram turnaround in 1 road square
- articulated locos (look at the Krokodil)
- Earlier startdate =>old style road vehicles
- Rotateable airports (look at the two, one's 90 degrees to the other)
- Rotateable view
- Vertical faces, looks like we can have the ability to only drop a corner of the landscape as in RCT
- Roofed/drive through bus depot

Incredible!!! Can't wait for this one!!!!! Thanks for the link tenacious!

Yup, saw that after I posted. Did a bit of editing to the post to categorize what I see there. Anybody else feel free to add to it. I most likely overlooked a few things :D

The only thing I can think of that I don't like, is that the view seems a little confusing, what with the multilevel sharp-curve bridges. But I imagine he has a way of dealing with that.

I wonder if he did subways? If he included trams and elevated stations, I don't see why he wouldn't also have subways.

It would appear that he has the equivalent of build-on-slopes too. I seriously wonder if he's ever played TTD-Patch...

Wouldn't surprise me. I'd be willing to bet Mr. Sawyer's aware of our enhancements. I wouldn't be surprised to see some TTDPatch features in there actually. (freighttrains, long stations and Multiheading specifically  )

RCT had that long before TTDPatch had it though...

incredibly steep slopes (read - build-on-slopes looks wierd with so seep slopes, the foundations are taller then houses!)
airports STILL have a single runaway
elevated bridges (broken in parts) are ugly
there seem to be miltpile slope levels
more realistic points/switches

overall - average. Just more of the same. 3DTT is generations ahead.
All art and vehicle stats I authored for TT and derivatives are as of now PUBLIC DOMAIN! Use as you see fit
Just say NO to the TT fan-art sprite licensing madness. Public domain your art as well.
