I bet every BR enthusiast has a soft spot for the dinky little Class 08 shunter!
Unfortunately, they are not much help on larger maps due to their slow speeds, often hindering passenger and freight services.
I always like to have some Class 04 or 08 shunters clattering around on my maps, but what do you guys think are the best uses for these units?
In other words, how do you use yours?
Best use for BR Class 08 and other shunters?

Re: Best use for BR Class 08 and other shunters?
I'm building at a coal or iron mine is always several stations. But only one leads to the steel mill.
From the other stations will delivered with schedule (fully loaded and fully unloaded at the destination) coal or ore to the main station. For this purpose I take the little Class 03, Class 04 or Class 08.
Here is an example. Only the station "Michelstadt" is supplied to the steel plant.
