4x2 connection
Hi everyone, I ask you to help me because I would need a 4x2 connection, you can see it in the figure without the trains stopping. I apologize if I do not know how to write well but I do not know English well.
Re: 4x2 connection
If you only need the tracks to cross each other, without switching from one track to another, then just build a bridge or a tunnel (or both?) for one set of tracks to pass over the other.
If you need them to switch tracks, though, then start reading here: https://wiki.openttd.org/Junctions

Re: 4x2 connection
I thank you for the help, but I can't find the outline on the site on how to switch from one track to another, but I can't find a 4x2.
Re: 4x2 connection
You build pieces of track from one to the other. These two links can provide more information.

You can also use the in-game content download service from the main menu to download "Beginner Tutorial" which can help you with step-by-step instructions on mastering the basics of the game.

There is likely no ready-made solution, and to be honest, just plopping down a solution is very boring.Tonio2000ITA wrote: ↑19 Nov 2019 22:01I thank you for the help, but I can't find the outline on the site on how to switch from one track to another, but I can't find a 4x2.
A big part of game play is to design your own track layout. So experiment your own solution. You have tracks, signals, height differences, tunnels, and bridges. Make something that works.
Then observe the train flow. Is it what you want? If not, what is wrong? what is the cause? How can you change the tracks, signals, etc to fix that?
Repeat until happy.
When I play OpenTTD, a large part of the time I spend just watching trains flow. Checking if my design does its job. If not, trying to find out why not, inventing an improvement, and trying it to see if it works.
Being a retired OpenTTD developer does not mean I know what I am doing.
