Well, a good news then, ECS was working fine before, thus still should work fine.

FiXES and ECSext are an optional add-ons for FIRS and ECS respectively.
They add some minor industries (for example petrol stations and car dealers which can consume petrol and vehicles without relying on town acceptance, which vary during city growth), and allow to change cargo payment rate (flat curve for large maps) or cargo station rating.
Generally these add-ons are for those who already know how FIRS/ECS works.

I see. Thank you.

I will be starting up my first real games some with fairly basic options, but I am still learning.

Thanks, EVERYONE, for your help getting up and running!
