Openttd font settings

How do I set up a truetype font? I don't want to drill in a cfg file, is it somehow over the console?
I'm angry that such a basic thing is missing in Tycoon. I've already set it up, but my settings have been lost when the computer freezes.

So some example of a nice setup if he's here to find? Doing it by trial and error is frustrating, and for example Arial looks horrible. In addition, nice fonts throw error x01 and I have no idea what size to use for them.
I found that the gui idea was already being dealt with, and for lack of interest it wasn't going on - but I think the current monitors would be interested, for those who have more diopters, sprite fonts are frustrating - and setting the GUI size doesn't solve the font size!
Although the font size is changed in version 1.9, the sprite font magnified looks hideous

My fonts below. Copperplate Gothic Bold is a horrid choice and I keep meaning to change it.
