Just a simple question :)
Accordingly to 2cc Trams, a Oslo Type S carrying 40 passengers, initially weighing 0t, would weigh 2t at full charge.
So, how much does a passenger weigh ?

50kg

Seems sensible. Do you know of its a cargo attribute or a vehicle property?

I did my math based on a Ikarus 417 (15t empty vs. 25t full; 166 passengers) and a Sao Paulo Serie 5500 (TL3; 186t vs 270t; 1380 passengers); the result was 60.2kg/passenger in the first case and 60.8kg/passenger in the second case.
I'm gonna make a wild guess and say that OpenTTD actually uses 62.5kg=1/16t per passenger.

For an average adult, 50kg is very, very low. Unless we're talking about the average weight of passengers, then including young people it would be lower. The weight of passengers is normally a cargo property, AFAIK.

That seems more realist.

internally, cargo weight can be adjusted in 1/16t steps, so unless you want to have 125kg passengers (i suppose that is with luggage and stuff), you need to live with 62.5kg :p

So that would be the average weight including younger people (such as kids).
Thanks for the answer :D

According to Wikipedia, the global average weight for an adult human being is 60 kg. In the united states that surround 90 kg, some portions of the world that's a little bit lighter.

I expected that one.

Actually when I'm working out passenger weights for my Stats Shack projects, I use 90 kg, because I find it works out well for mail also. A standard mail bag hauls around 30 kg of letters, 3 mail bags can replace one passenger in space and weight.
