Massive Service Station?
I have a lot of trains in need of service and as there is no "drive through" depot I came up with this curiosity which I call the service bouquet.
Is there anything else/better/funnier like this?

Is it necessary having each of your trains call at a depot?
I stretched out my service lanes quite a bit, as I wanted to avoid having trains stalled by 38MPH entries and exits. I suspect I could've got away with making my two-way fleet maintenance centre merely 8 tracks instead of the abominable 16.
Re: Massive Service Station?
I use double depots, so there is always a depot available for entering.
Being a retired OpenTTD developer does not mean I know what I am doing.
Re: Massive Service Station?
Très bien, but you should rather replace the block signals by one-way path signals.Crass Spektakel wrote:I have a lot of trains in need of service and as there is no "drive through" depot I came up with this curiosity which I call the service bouquet.

I don't mind keeping it a bit tighter. This should still give decent throughput if you don't mind sharp corners.

Re: Massive Service Station?
Ouch, 90 degree turns.
Re: Massive Service Station?
Hint: lengthen by 3 tiles to avoid sharp corners.

For refit games I prefer to use modules more or less like this:
