changing settings while game

Post by DieselDriver »

Hello,

I tried to change the max_tunnel_length from default value 64 to 80.
But while a network game it seems that this variable is not changeable via rcon. :-(

Is there a solution how to change it while a game?

How can I enable that all settings are changeable via GUI in game?

Thanks.

Hi,
First, you can't modify this value during a network game, even if you are the server admin.
Are you the server owner ?

Yes I am the server owner.

When I change the openttd.cfg, must I restart the server or is it possible to reload the openttd.cfg while a network game?

First, you need to make a save of your network game, by clicking on the save button.
Then, quit the game, load the game in single player and modify the parameter, re-save the game and load the game for multiplayer.
