4-way junction using crossing tunnels

Heh, does anyone use this kind of setup in "real life"? I must say I find the layout to be a bit on the cheaty side, but it doesn't take too much room and is somewhat efficient. You can even have 4 trains in the tunnels.

You will have to use longer tracks though, so that trains will fit in the tracks in between the intersections. I just made it smaller to see if it even works.

No, only at a big distance

this does look a bit cheaty, yes :-)

but if you replace one pair of tunnels with a bridge and have realistic acceleration enabled, it's almost as efficient and absolutely legal

Only with realistic acc. and low amount of cagro, it is as efficient like that.
The leaf crossover is the real case, but no tunnels
