Building raw material producing industries is not a fix, but a feature ;-)

The new version :D
Thx to all the developers for working on this great game ;)

so... I just quickly looked at the new features and it is quite nice...

First raising the vehicule limit was really a need ! Actually some might be limited by 240, with biger map I think this will happend !

Also other option in the "vehicule" tab of the patch settings are nice !

"smoother mouse cursor" -> I wasn't expecting this but it is actually very nice !! I can't play with the old version anymore lol

"Industrie directory" very good idea !

Just there is one "fix" which I find very odd... "Canal tool resets after 1 use "
I personnaly don't like it... the old system was better imo... I think you should make this a switch....

Then I was looking forward a stable multiplayer version with gui but there still is no gui... well if the multiplayer is stable enough I am happy with it ;)
BTW is it that the gui which not finished or the multiplayer which not stable enough for realasing a "real" multiplayer version (or the 2 ?) ? :D

Keep up the good work !

Now the canal tool works just like all the other tools. But you are saying that if you clicked on 1 tile with the canal too that you liked to select the tool again? Or if you wanted a bend in your canal, you dragged a straight line and then instead of doing another one you have to select the tool again? To me that is highly annoying. But I'd like to hear your side :)

Really nice :D, but the game still end in 2090, it's just go to the end of 2090 and then to the start of this year agian. :/, I'll hope this will be fixed in the next version.

I'll hope that a auto re-new function for the vehicles is implantet in the next version, it's taking to much time to renew all the trains every 20 year.

Will multiplayer be possible in the next version?

Thx for a really great game!

I feel pretty stupid right now.... It did actually misunderstand it 8o

I think what happened is that I had 2 version of openttd running and I tested the canal in the old version... as I didn't use canal for a long time I thought that before it was like any other tool (and it was like that with the patch). that's why I couldn't see the point, and when i first red "Canal tool resets after 1 use " I didn't get it and then thought it had been change to reset it after every use...

Well actually it is a very good fix then :)
You really shouldn't listen to what I saying anymore lol :P

Hm, is it just me, or cant you build bridges AT ALL in the new version. Could someone check? Ive restarted the game, loaded different savegames, reinstalled it, and i just cant build bridges, it always tells me "Cant build bridge here"

Think thats bad!

Post by Gorfob »

Bridges is one thing, having a whole tilesets trains missing is the other!

I have no trains in the artic set.

EDIT: Or Trucks, or buses, or planes or boats for that matter.

Check the patch menu. It sounds like you set the start year to 1920. It's the buttom one under economy
The same goes for bridges because non of them have been invented yet

What does this mean, and are we going to be able to go pass 2090 in the next release?

This means that network games are on random maps instead of the same one each time

I don't know about 2090 yet

Is there any specific reason, why there are only Windows- and OSX-Binaries available? Neither one lets me play openttd on Linux

Oy, whoever messed with this post, please mark your edits. The following is not (c) by me:

There are a simple reason. The porters have not made the binaries yet :(

get the source from http://www.openttd.org/nightly
and compile yourself if you don't want to wait
remember to use
make ENABLE_NETWORK:=1
if you want to try out the still unsupported multiplayer

Well, download the source code from svn, and compile it yourself.

I can build bridges. With savegames and with new games.

Great!
Look at the picture below, it is a list of factories in my game.
I´v got a question, could be the type of factory be in front of the name of city, where the factory is?
For example: Coal Mine (Brintbourne Brigde)

Is that really the same as 0.3.2? AFAIK the svn contains the newsest patches.
