Is it possible to generate maps were only mountains have snow?

I want to generate a map that has one or two large mountains, and I want snow only on the mountains, not on the rest of the map.

Set a useful snowline height while generating the world
Being a retired OpenTTD developer does not mean I know what I am doing.

I have tried with snowline from 1 to 50, I never get snow only on the mountains.

The idea is that you set the snowline slightly lower than the maximum height of the map. Say, snowline 13 max height 17. Then pick something like "mountainous", irregular etc - play around with that a bit so you get nice mountains - et voila, you have snow-covered mountains and everything else, err, not.

Or is the problem the amount of mountains or something? In that case I'd recommend generating a relatively flat height map, and a mountainous height map, export each, use some paint program, and glue the two together. OpenTTD isn't made to create "regional" maps, unless you get lucky.
Something like this might get you into the right direction though:

I'd also like to add that grf's like OpenGFX Landscape allow for a variable snow line to simulate Winter and Summer snow line levels. That way you can have snow capped moutains in the summer while having a vast snowy landscape in the winter (though I imagine for southern hemisphere locations you'll want to have the snow line in summer be the lowest one while winter should be higher)
