Max speed for rolling

Post by RJL »

Even if I'm constructing rail for over 100 mph, I cannot select a higher speed than 100 for rolling stock when assembling a train for some reason. Is there something in the settings/GRF files that's limiting the speed?

Depending on what era you're playing, and what GRF set you're using, it's possible that there is no rolling stock capable of speeds over 100mph.

What year are you playing in, and using which GRF sets?

Morning Pilot,

Thanks for coming back to me.

I usually get well into the 21st century and loco speeds are well over 100mph by then. But the rolling stock stubbornly remains at a ton.

The GRF I'm using at the moment is attached. It's one of several I've altered and tried but no luck.

There's a grf on the banana store called Faster UKRS2 Express Passenger Car for Extremely Annoyed People, or something like that. That should solve your bother. Think it needs to be below the main set in your grf list.

Thanks Dave,

I'll give it a shot. I have been concentrating on cargo only though and so far there's no wagon of any kind which goes faster than 100 mph.

Or you could disable wagon speed limits in the settings menu.

That seems to have done the trick! There're so many options, it sometimes gets quite confusing.

Thanks for the pointer>

Cheers
