OPen TTD Map

Post by TTFulcrum »

Hi,

I'm searching for any map for Open TTD.

I can't seem to find any...

I would really love if someone could give me a big map with nothing but land... no water...

Greetz!

you can't use TTD maps if you use the big map hacked version and you can't load savegames if they contains some patch feature that's not supported in OTTD

I consider altering map size to disband old maps sort of a hack, but I guess we can agree on "hardcoded bigger map version"

I had no intension of offending you. I'm sorry if I did

ok then, no harm done. Yup I agree on the hardcoded part. and I also totally agree that it should be dynamic. but until we have that available, I'll keep my bigger maps version online.

Hacking cracking

Post by CoolAsIce »

Hacking is (not the nicest way of) coding.
Cracking is mutilating/entering code/software/servers or ... tycoon maps.

So its not even hacked.

Well, 8 years after the start of the scenario, I have $20,000,000. Also, THERE ARE NO GODDARN COAL HOPPERS!!!! WTF!!!!! I built some mainline trackage from one end of the map to the other, from where there were a bunch of mines to the only power station on the map. I start to build my trains, BUT THERE WERE NO COAL HOPPERS!!!!! ?????? BTW, I grew so quickly due to agriculture and shipping goods.

Sorry to vent, but that really irked me.

Yep, there's a bug with scenario's in OpenTTD :).
I got a screenshot here from the start of a new scenario in the year 1950:
(I set the starting date of the patch to 1950, but that doesn't help either).
The problem is that when a new train is made available you lose a type of coach. It seams the new trains are setting the memory space of the coaches.

Hmmm a train from 1965 already available in 1950 :S.
