New windows icon

Post by CobraA1 »

I noticed there was a nice-looking PNG in the media folder, then I noticed the sorta bland Windows icon.

So, I grabbed the GIMP and @Icon Sushi, and here's the result:
-16 color @ Sizes 16, 32, 48
-True Color (including alpha for Windows XP) @ Sizes 32, 48, 64, 128

Windows users enjoy :).

Updated:
256 Color @ Sizes 32, 48, 64, 128

It looks very crappy on my win2000pro i'm using 32bit colors
when i select the icon the upper left corner of it is green when i deselect it then that space is invisible.

OK, I've added 256-color icons, see if that helps.

Oh, grr, the 256-color icons are messing it up.

If somebody can get me the *proper* 256-color pallette to use for 256-color icons, I'll try again, but for now use the file without the 256-color icons.

That is much nicer than the current icon. Looking for a 256 color set? Create an Icon using Visual Basic .NET 2003 (I'm not a good artist though)

Don't have any of the Mirosoft tools. Wish I did, but I don't.
