You should release an updated version then, the current one is just a bit too buggy to test well.

  I should have played a bit longer before talking uselessly... the way planes fly in openttd is already quicker, that's really good with big maps : a 747 can make 500 000 € in one go easily when crossing the whole map

Version 0.3.1 still does not manage creating games with more than "low" town settings on my PC... Yet creating lots of towns in the scenario editor causes no problem.

Great work thanks Korenn
It would be better if i was gliding

Theres some weird bug. When im at the left upper edge of the map and i scroll further to the left, it teleports me to the right lower edge of the map...

And i think planes should accelerate exponentially (i hope its the right english word for it) meaning that they accelerate faster, the faster theyre flying.

Great work anyways, keep it up!

Downloaded and had a look at it, Wow, are those maps big, Hopes that zooming on the mini-map will be possible (Sorry if it is possible now, I didnt get a chance to have an in-depth test of it).

Yes I reported this in the bugfixes list as an unfixed bug.

I tried exponential acceleration, but I couldn't get it to work properly, and it was lowering the game speed significantly...

Aegir: minimap zooming is a good idea, I might have to try to do that :D

oh and I forgot to thank those who submitted bugs, so: thank you!

After a while the game always does crash, and I get this messages:

Edit: I run the game in linux

Code: Select all

ttd: landscape.c:60: GetTileSlope: Assertion `tile < (1024) * (1024) && (uint)((uint)(tile) & 0x3FF) != (0x3FF) && (uint)((tile) >> 10) != (0x3FF)' failed.
Aborted
And in tropic/desert games, I always get much more desert area than jungle area, like the picture shows.

do you have a savegame?

and I know about the desert/jungle ratio, it depends on how ttd decides to split the screen. over the other axis it's better, so you can just generate a new game until you get a nice map. the same goes for arctic.

Sure, I will upload one here soon.

BUG Report

Post by mitch »

I'm under linux (debian).

After a well-done compilation, I launch the game and when I create a new random game or when I clic "Random Land" in the scenario editor, the game freeze.

I need to kill the process and xfree (because its disables my mouse).

Please, anyone have this problem ? a solution ?

Yes, sort of the same problem, I can in 9/10 cases generate a game, but after a while the game craches. And yes, my mouse also gets disabled, but sometimes it helps to start the game again and exit it to get the mouse back.
