how to get the source from svn ?

Post by fabca2 »

hello,
I would like to compile the sources...
I can see the source at : http://svn.openttd.com/viewcvs.py/trunk ... te#dirlist

But I would like to get all file source (not downloading one by one)
I'm on win2k, not on linux.

I've downloaded "svn-1.0.0-setup.exe", but it look it's not a client ?
I tried also "TortoiseSVN-1.0.3" which is supposed to be a GUI, but it's look to be a tools to merge files...

Please thoses of you who use to download sources file (and to keep them up to date) ????

which tools are you using, and once you got it, what are the settings to reach OTTD files ?????

damn, I'm lost, .. or at least is there a nightly build (even if it's a tar.gz, I can read them on windows)

Please !

thank you. \_o<

Thank you,

by the way, some lib are missing (PNG/SDL/Zlib)..
I read the thread about that...

I'm not an expert, but I think we can find some .o and .h files for these ? (that means I don't need to recompile them ?) objects (bin compiled) and header files should be enough ? we just need to link them, no ?

now, the question to all of you who successfully compiled OTTD : where did you find these files ? did you recompile them ? (I hope no)

thanks...

SDL libraries can be found here: http://www.libsdl.org/download-1.2.php
And the png ones can be downloaded from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/libpng/
zlib is part of libpng and included

Thank you,
I successfully compiled TTD... (SDL was easy, but libpng is a mess !)

ok, but when I run it, it says me my english language file is not the correct version ???? :?:

any tricks about that ?

(sorry I'm a lamer, I know C/C++ but I don't know how this program works.... and I don't know SVN.... it may take a long time before I can submit a fix or whatever... I must first learn how to produce a diff file.. from windows  )
