DO NOT VOTE IF YOU ARE NOT NORWEGIAN OR SWEDISH!
Poll is written in norwegian for obeous resons.

I am translating the english.txt (I think it's txt, maybe its .c) in the lang folder to norwegian. Made a norwegian.txt (.c?) and so on... But how do i include that in the game? I want to wiew it first, to test it.
Same for town names.

Sorry for being stupid.

Re: Nor translation - How i view it in game?

Exactly the same way as any of the other language packs.

You have to use strgen to compile the language pack, then copy the generated .lng file from the lang directory to the openttd directory.

Please wait for the next release of openttd (released soon). It will include the language compiler and instructions. In the mean time, you can still translate english.txt and preview it later, or submit it to sourceforge for inclusion if you believe it's solid enough.

ENOLOGIC.
"have been" != "just started"

I found this tread after I started translating it into norwegian.

I have also chatted with ludde and he was not aware of any norwegian translation being made.

I have to say, i have looked in to pixels source, and it seems he has got a decent peace of work done. So i dont think we need two Norwegian translations. But good work everyone, å husk:
Norge rule øve alle samen!!!

Bleh. I hate it when people speak other languages.

Then again, I have done so in the past. :o

Anyhow...
I didn't get Zetor's reaction either. Kjetil pretty clearly stated he had already done one (pretty much)...

I voted no (nei). The reason I did this is because I see no point in using the Norwegian translation. For the last nine years I have played Transport Tycoon (Deluxe) in English and don't think I will understand a Norwegian translation of OpenTTD better.

Ikke det at jeg har noe mot norsk, tror uansett det er en del som vil benytte seg av en oversettelsen. :)

Some words to the translators: :)

Synes det også er dumt av dere å krangle, ta heller og samarbeid. Har sett alt for mange dårlige norskoversettelser av programmer gjennom tidene (orddelingsfeil, ord som er feil oversatt, ord som ikke er oversatt i det hele tatt).

Lykke til videre iallefall! Bedre oversettelsen blir, jo fler kommer til å bruke den.

Didn't mean to argue...

I was thinking of cooperating.
I said so.
