OpenTTD 0.1.1 Released

Post by Vurlix »

We're happy to announce the availability of OpenTTD 0.1.1!
You will need files from the original Win95 TTD, namely sample.cat and *.grf files. You may also want to include the "gm" directory for music.

You can grab openttd from

http://www.slipgatesoftware.com/ttd/openttd-0.1.1.zip

It should also be available on SourceForge shortly.
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... _id=103924

As always, please submit any bug reports and crashes to us via SourceForge.

Have fun!

Maybe a changelog would be nice?

And it would be nice if you could put up some Linux binaries as well...

Linux binaries to follow soon.
I guess it would be a good idea to maintain a changelog, so I'll do that now :)

changelog:
0.1.1

- Preliminary presignal support
- Added external MIDI driver for unix version (by robertnorris)
- Added DirectMusic driver for Win32 version
- Fixed problem where directories weren't displayed under Linux (by Markus)
- Center windows properly in higher resolutions
- Added "build tracks on slopes" feature
- Fixed colors in map window for routes
- Command line -g flag now optionally takes a game to load
- Fixed road drive side
- Fixed "Fund road construction" not clickable when unavailable

Plus the usual minor bug fixes.

I still get that "can't read english.lng" error

(I can install every game so I don't think I'm a noob)
Well, back to work, lot's of it in the near future

Try creating a shortcut to the openttd executable. In the shortcut properties, make sure the "Start in" directory is the directory you put openttd in.

Wow a new version ;)

I Just Tried it quickly... (OS: W2k)

I didn't try the presignal with a train, I can place them without problem at least ;)

Just I have a problem to play in higher resolution... with the "old" version I just strated the game with "-1"... dont work anymore. How am I supose to change resolution

The "build tracks on slopes" works but doesn't look good (you probably are aware of this or does it work fine for you ? Can alway post a screenshot if you want)

Presignals don't work yet, but you can place presignal signals :)
Use -r 800x600.
Yes it looks bad because the existing TTD sprites are used to render the foundation. TTDpatch has its own set of sprites for this. It will look better in a later release.

Installer Update

Post by RaggieSoft »

There's a patch for OpenTTD on my Installer site. If you have ersion 0.1, it'll apply the v0.1.1 patch.
