Any Suggestions are welcome.

Hi,

Any map of Java would be incomplete without Bandung and Yogyakarta, similarly Sulawesi must have Makassar.

Check out my Maps of Indonesia at http://www.peteloud.co.uk/indonesia/indonesia.html

Cheers,

Hi Fanioz..

If you are looking for the complete city names of Indonesia, I suggest you to find them out in here :
Cities' Alphabetical Order A-B
Cities' Alphabetical Order C-D
Cities' Alphabetical Order E-L
Cities' Alphabetical Order M-O
Cities' Alphabetical Order P-R
Cities' Alphabetical Order S
Cities' Alphabetical Order T-Z

In those sites, you can find list of post codes across Indonesia by street names and cities.

 haha, I've not check it yet. The cities is based on Wikipedia list. They have missed my city too.

Okay, the next release would have parameter (optional) that can generated a town name list based on island.
So, may we have:
  • 0 = Random (default)
  • 1 = Java
  • 2 = Sumatera
  • 3 = Kalimantan
  • 4 = Sulawesi
  • 5 = Irian
However, it still need a lot work . And thanks for your suggestion

Congratulations fanioz.
It's pleasant to see that users are not only asking for something to be done, but that they can work on a project and make it a useful one.

Let me give you the title of "The Someone" of the week :D

Am I ? :o
And more surprised because"He was one of an OTTD Dev's that has said that" :D

I know, I've made a foolish thread about waiting 0.6.4, but that is just because I don't understand if you guys (the OTTD dev's) will give us 0.7.0 :D

Recently someone just posted this (attached) images on IRPS (Indonesian Railway Preservation Society), it's a map from 1960's Indonesian Railroad Map.

Then, I try to research the updated map. Instead found the updated map, I crashed to infoka.soluzen.net. That's the website of PT. Kereta Api, the Indonesian Railway operator.

Using the 1960's map and 2009's schedule, I created two list, Java and Sumatera Town Names.

Java Town Names consist approximately 140 Names, prioritized on 5 step.
Note in this list
  • - #0 Marks of Capital City. Probability should be 100%
    - #1 Marks of Start or End of ARGO Trains route. Probability should be above 80%
    - #2 Marks of City. In this city, 1st class and 2nd class train have a scheduled stop. Probability should be on 60%
    - #3 Marks of Regular Town. In this city, at least 3rd class train have a scheduled stop. Probability should be on about 40%
    - #4 Marks of Small Town. In this city, only local train or crossed train have a scheduled stop. Lowest probability is about 20%
    - I used Yogyakarta not Jogjakarta, because, Depdagri (Dept of Home Affairs), and BPS (Central Statistic Bureau) stated that the official name of the city is "YOGYAKARTA". The name displayed on Tugu Station (Djogjakarta) is obselete.
    - I used Solo not Surakarta, not only because it is an official name, but also the train station in that city named "Solo Balapan" and "Solo Jebres".
Sumatra Town Names consist approximately only 30-40 names.
Note
There are more station in Sumatera, but mostly used for Babaranjang Train (Long Haul Coal Train, Similar to Mammoth Train in OpenTTD), and no public map for this.

Now I think Indonesia should have 4 different Town Names:
  • Indonesia
    Indonesia - Trains
    Indonesia - Java
    Indonesia - Sumatera
But sorry, i can't rebuild it myself. I have no programming experience... at all...

Oops, I Think I forgot about TANGERANG. Add it to Cities of Java.

Sorry :P.

Hi Adi J, :D
You have found an interested list. That is a list of town that have railway track. I bet you play mostly with train
After reading here I've not found any thing yet to modify this grf, to accept input parameter.
Global ID offset (99)

Setting this variable will add the given value to all the relevant IDs in subsequent action 0, action 3 (except livery overrides), action 4 (except generic texts) and action A entries. This is a more convenient way of applying the result of a GRF resource request. Setting this variable applies only to the current .grf file only.

In detail, it affects the following elements:

Action Element modified
0 <Id> (i.e., not property numbers)
3 <Ids...> (i.e., not cargo types or cargo IDs, also not for livery overrides)
4 <Offset> (not for generic texts, though)
A <First-sprite>
And No Action F there ?
Or, maybe I just need more learning in GRF coding.

That would be correct. Action F doesn't modify global IDs.
