Hi,

Is there a way to reset the currently played map?

Thanks

Define "reset".
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

I think he means 'reset' as in to start the map again from the starting date, with everything that was constructed gone.

No, not that I know of.

There is. Assuming you used TGP to generate the map, and wrote down the seed. If so, just regenerate the same size map, same settings, same seed.
Otherwise, you're probably out of luck.

There's a command to get the generation seed of a saved game.

First, open a savegame and access the console by pressing `-key (left to 1 on your keyboard). Now type getseed and press Enter. Write the number it gives you and type it in appropriate box in the terrain generator.

Another way, in which you don't lose all the terraforming done during the game, is: rename the savegame to .scn, load it in the scenario editor, use the 'reset landscape' option in the Land Generation window to remove all player/AI built stuff. Don't forget to set the date back if you want to!

you don't need the seed number, will you can do it that way, but there is an easier way.

open the console, and type "restart" during gameplay, and your back a the start of the map
