Poland2048x2048 ECS 1900 scenario

New version of Poland scenario, with game year start in 1900, is here:

I'm not uploading it to bananas, because this scenario comes together with custom, dedicated script
(fork of RCG with industry generation based on real date/location, also subsidies for cargodist, see readme.txt).
Scenario is saved in version 1.11.1, but I recommend JGRPP:

Small update: replaced faulty polroad newgrf to 5.2 version.

The script crashed immediately after startup ...

Basecost Mod is set so that it is almost impossible to start. :oops: I'm not a beginner, but it's too hard.

Currently I'm using this map at JGRPP server, even with harder settings, and I enjoy.
Of course single track line with sidings is recommended at the beginning, to avoid high interest rates. Think first, execute later.
And without daylength patch, earning money to pay debts before engine will be old, can be problematic.

Sure, but sometimes you're in the mood for a more relaxed game. This does not mean that the scenario is bad :) There is no appetite for it in the current mood, but next time it will need something else :)

New version for openttd 12.1:

with start date 1890, with upgraded newgrfs
and settings more suitable for vanilla openttd without daylength patch (cheaper purchase, only 2% interest rate).
I will test it on my [PL]Experimental server.

Thank you for creating this scenario! 8)

The quality is very high, and you must have spent many hours to make it. Details like realistic names to industries and a vast amount of rivers and lakes, really mean a lot to a map like this.

You even created a special script, but I don't know if it will work for me, as I have skipped forward to the 1950s.

There are three functions of the script:
1. building industry or cities (there are 3 new large cities founded in midwar and postwar era), skipping to 1950 would omit some earlier industry;
2. controlling town growth (similar to RCG script on which it is based);
3. generating additional subsidies for passengers and mail (targeted from served town to any other town, works with cargodist).

It was tested in multiplayer mode - starting is harsh because standard time flow gives low margin for vehicles amortization.
Currently I'm using this map on JGRPP server with daylength x5 and it is perfectly playable.
