Why does an industry never get to 100% transported?

Post by jez »

Even when I put a train station next to an industry, and permanently have a train there loading, I only get to maybe 80% transported maximum for an industry. Why doesn't it ever get to 100% and is there a way I can get it to 100?

The wiki says:

"If there is only only [sic.] station around, then a percentage of available goods equal to the station's rating is distributed to it every 2.5 day cycle."

So your station rating is presumably not 100.

The precise calculations are documented at https://wiki.openttd.org/en/Manual/Game ... ion-rating
And when they've given you their all, some stagger, some fall
After all, it's not easy, banging your heart against some mad bugger's wall.

U can using some trickery get to 100% permanently if you use statues and have fast trains and keep replacing your trains very frequently.
Like every year using grouping and diffrent replacement orders for diffrent groups creating a replacement loop.

Something that might make things more clear regarding rating calculations is this screenshot from the Citymania client:
