How to set up train shunting/waiting zones?

Post by unbeatable_101 »

These are the only two ways I could come up with, but with the bottom one the trains don't use the second track and they get stuck with the top one. All the signals are path signals.

If you are building a single-track line with passing loops, make sure that the branches of each loop use one-way path signals facing opposite directions. Otherwise, a couple of trains going in the same direction can cause a deadlock.
