Yes, TTT has both Tutorial scenarios (some doesn't work very well) and a handbuch.pdf file of 32 pages.
This file is almost general, no tips, no tricks, and so on... with my doc I want to provide with all those things missing in the official pdf file.

Another problem is that one may have SuS (TTT german version) while he/she speaks english, so that the german pdf will be not very useful. He/she could get the english version from someone else, or use my document. :o

If you make a tutorial you should first just expand the existing one. Once you did that you can add a section Tips & Tricks. I think that would be the easiest to read for the users.

Tutorial

Post by pepecito »

I started what I consider to be the most important part of my TTT tutorial:
Tips & Tricks:
You can find it in my HP, or to the direct link:
http://pepecito.zapto.org/games/3dtt/tutorial/index.htm
Isn't finished yet, but there are already important notes about loans and schedules.
I hope that some one may find it interesting...

Finally

Post by Madness »

Hello,

I was lookin like hell for a better help file than the one supllied with the game...

When I play TTT all my trains will run over eachother because when I set up one signal I'm sure to mess up my train flow...
But I don't like to see the trains run over each other....

I allready tried to place a switch and to put one way signals on the track (like you're example) but they still get stuck on eachother, they don't choose a track...
It's drivin me nuts....

I was hopin that you might have a complete version of the section train signals and stations so that I could start sorting out this mess...

Thanks in advance....

I can open the link you give
http://pepecito.zapto.org/games/3dtt/tutorial/index.htm

There is a question I confused about

when I build a railway on land and it has to cross another railway,
the system does not automaticly create a bridge.
the railway I want to build is aways red. saying"there is something holding up "
it seems that if I want to build a bridge ,I must cross a river.

but I can see the bridge created by the computer opponent. Only can not I

Is this a bug?????? I have added you to my ICQ Lite 212829395.
please help me! thanks!

Bridges and tunnels elevation

Post by pepecito »

To change the elevation of the track or road, when you are planning it, just hold the <shift> button and move the mouse cursor forward and backward.
Does it help you? :?:
I think I will add this question on my FAQ

Passengers transportation

Post by pepecito »

This may help you:
http://pepecito.zapto.org/games/3dtt/tutorial/index.htm
but point (1) is true only for simple connections (I should add this info), so you better get focused on point (4), which may require lots of time to see it profittable.
Have fun! :P

I am sorry I can not open the link "http://pepecito.zapto.org/games/3dtt/tutorial/index.htm "

It seems unavailable. Even I try to open the homepage of "http://pepecito.zapto.org", it is also the same.

Can you copy the original text of 3dtt tutorial in your website and post it here?

Thanks.

Copy-Paste:
Passengers
The passenger transportation doesn't work very well. So here some suggestions:

(1) Usually passenger transported with trains will only make you loose money, especially when using hispeed trains (ICE, TGV); in fact they will probably transport less than 10 passengers, which will be not enought to pay back train costs.
(2) Busses seems to be a valid way to allow passengers to reach their destinations.
(3) Favourites destinations seem to be the markets; so avoid to set more than one bus stop per city except the one at the market.
(4) The best way to get money with passengers is to set a completed transportation network using busses to connect markets with stations, and trains to connect stations.

Focus your attention on point (4)! 8)
I hope this may help.

TTT_DEMO_ENG.EXE links

Post by pepecito »

Two links:
http://pepecito.no-ip.com/3dtt/TTT_DEMO_ENG.EXE
http://www.pcworld.pl/ftp/download/gry_ ... MO_ENG.EXE

I suggest the one from pcworld, since the first may not be always available.
I updated the list of links in the topic FAQ: Are any download for TTT or SuS available?

I build my stations underneath the city centre, simulating a subwaystation, then my trains consisting of loco + 5 60 passenger cars are frequently filled to the last seat! The extra cost of building tunnels in to the station is quickly earned back in a year or two... 8)

Note that this only works in advanced economy, in simple economy the income from passengers are so low that even a full train will loose money.
