TTU development stopped (!)

Post by nilsi »

On their page the developers write:

Current state by TBOT - Thursday, April 22, 2004
Just a short message, but I think it's on it's place to post something now...
There has been almost no TTU development in the last weeks. We've picked up an other more motivating project which is keeping us busy. So for now the development is at a complete halt.
Whether or not we'll continue in the future is uncertain, it totally depends on whether we can regain motivation.
That's all for now, I suggest you set your hopes on OpenTTD, Zugspiel or Locomotion, because TTU is going nowhere for the coming time.

PS: Would it be possible to get the sources? (both old c nd new cpp)

well, I didn't know the game, and I never played it, so I don't know what I am missing (except a tt game ;))
And I don't think it is possible to get the sourcecode... :| (but I hope someone could get it, perhaps I could use it for some parts of freeTT  )

Try the link to the TTU site, you'll see some screenshots over there.

Alcohol is not the answer, it just makes you forget the question.

It all depends on if they really want to abandon it. There's still some doubt in their words.

So for now... who knows what happens next month, i.e.. I think it's time for a reply from Balloz or TBOT. To rule out any doubts.

I won't find it out for three more hours. College starting in 6 minutes (+15, the infamous 'Leids Kwartiertje'). You can always call me though: 0666devils.

I don't think that is a very good idea. I like to have more then one kind of transport game, because every TT game has other options. and it isn't possible (IMO) to have one project which have all the options all the people wants. So I keep going with my own TT Game :D

If we have the code, and we've enough coders and graphics artists willing to move to OTTD, then it would be an option.
