And.... It's a brilliant graphic. Looking forward to using it in my next game!
Ok will make it up tonight and call it AuzAirportObjects.

Will remove it from the AuzIndObjects so hope that not muck up a game.

EDIT
: Forgot to update this other day .. AuzAirportObject set has been made and it over on my AuzObjects topic.

Welcome to OpenTTD Air Force Base Public Open Day and Aviation Show. A unique show of aviation projects, information about airports and everything else that has to do with aviation. We have prepared a unique program of demonstrations of aircraft technology and several special opportunities for you.
You can see the historic planes that the first knights of heaven flew to the latest technical gems with stealth features.

In the morning, you can see first types of fighters, such as the Avro 504 and Nieuport-Delage NiD 29, in static demonstrations. Next to them, you can admire the British shield of the Battle of Britain in the form of the Hawker Hurricane fighter.
On the opposite side are icons of the American aviation industry. The first is the North American F-86 Sabre, the first swept-wing fighter that could counter the swept-wing Soviet MiG-15 in high-speed dogfights.
Next to it, you can admire the successful lightweight all-weather multirole aircraft, which was produced in more than 4,600 pieces, the General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon.
It is followed by his successor, who has been in service in recent years, all-weather stealth multirole combat aircraft that is intended to perform both air superiority and strike missions. Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II, in its A specification.
In the sky you can soon see the history and current present of strategic transport U.S. air force. In the front wave you can see historic Douglas C-74 Globemaster, Douglas C-124 Globemaster II "Old Shaky" and Lockheed C-141 Starlifter planes, behind them the current airlifters for transport such as Lockheed C-5 Galaxy, McDonnell Douglas/Boeing C-17 Globemaster III and european Airbus A-400M.
Behind the transport aircraft, a wave of fighters from French and Swedish industry is approaching. The iconic Dassault Mirage III and Mirage 2000 on the sides and at the head of the formation of the Swedish JAS 39 Gripen.
Throughout the day, you can see a pair of UAVs in the sky. The first of these is the very well-known Northrop Grumman RQ-4 Global Hawk, which will demonstrate its endurance throughout the day. In addition, you can also see the stealth flying wing at higher altitudes, the Lockheed Martin RQ-170 Sentinel as an example of modern reconnaissance systems.
The organizers have also prepared something very special, exceptional for you. One more thing. Or actually 4 more pieces of jewelry. There are four aircraft carriers off the coast, which have served or have been serving since the Second World War. And best of all, the winners of our raffle can be transported to them and walk through these technical gems with an explanation. The winners will get on one of the following ships: USS Intrepid CV-11 with parked icons of the Pacific War, Grumman F6F Hellcats; British HMS Eagle R05 with Hawker Sea Hawk aircraft; nuclear-powered iconic USS Enterprise CVAN-65 with McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II and McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet aircraft, and let's not forget the current French pride, nuclear-powered Charles de Gaulle R91 with Dassault Rafale aircraft. The winner will be transported to these aircraft carriers by another well-known Grumman C-2 Greyhound aircraft, or a very well-known UH-1 Iroquois / HU-1 "Huey" helicopter.
Today's rich program is just beginning...

Image
Note: Aircraft on carriers decks and in air are arranged to formation using a graphic tool, but all are playable.

I have been creating this set since May 4. The primary goal was to create several well-known fighters.
I use PixelTool to create sprites because I'm not a graphic artist.
I've been learning NML since May 3, this is my first set ever.
The set is licensed under GNU GPL v2 and hosted on github. Development thread is viewtopic.php?f=26&t=88858.
The set contains 5 airports and 24 aircraft:
- 4 small airports simulating aircraft carriers (USS Intrepid CV-11, HMS Eagle R05, USS Enterprise CVAN-65, Charles de Gaulle R91),
- 1 city airport in Air Force Base visualization with VOR/DME facilities,
- 14 fighters: Avro 504, Hawker Hurricane, F-4 Phantom II, F-86 Sabre, F-16 Fighting Falcon, F/A-18 Hornet, F-35A Lightning II, Mirage III, NiD 29, Mirage 2000, JAS 39 Gripen, Rafale, F6F Hellcat and Hawker Sea Hawk,
- 7 transport aircraft: C-5 Galaxy, C-17 Globemaster III, C-74 Globemaster, C-124 Globemaster II "Old Shaky", C-141 Starlifter, A-400M and C-2 Greyhound,
- 2 reconnaissance UAVs: RQ-4 Global Hawk and RQ-170 Sentinel,
- 1 helicopter: UH-1 Iroquois / HU-1 "Huey".

So I will get things started .. many moons ago was asked see if I can do a model of Heathrow cargo terminal. I started it but go side tracked on other projects. Maybe that why this comp was called Airports and Planes to get back to finishing it.

I did a South West view (in this image) and a South East view. Seems to fit in good with Quast65 Fake Airport Objects.
Heathrow Cargo Terminal.png

Whatcha think? Is it worth releasing in AuzIndObjects?

Here the source and also the game file.
So will there be any airlines set released in the near future ? 🙏

I not be making any planes as I thing the sets that are available have all the planes covered ..

Any suggestion on items that could be built to go with the airports?

I've been very busy with university work, so I didn't get nearly as far as I wanted, but we're now at the deadline for the competition so I will publish it as is.

North Korean Aviation Set
Image
This NewGRF not only adds new airport objects, mostly compatible with the fake airport objects NewGRF, but it also adds small airports with or without depot which you can use on either end, or in the middle of a runway. Planes won't be able to use eyecandy objects, but at least your eyecandy objects can now be flown to.

TIP: use the "Jetplanes will not crash (frequently) on small airports" cheat, as these airports are small.

The fourth theme is Forests and Trees.
Whether it be vehicles, objects, or logging industries, we need more objects for forests.

Feel free to make any NewGRF that you think suits this theme. This can include vehicles, objects, industries, etc. Whatever you think fits.
I’m looking forward to what all of you have in store for us.

My entry to this competition.
Pine Forest and watch tower.png
Pine Forest and watch tower.png (78.78 KiB) Viewed 9207 times
The watch tower, dirt tracks and bullock time are my doing. The pine forest are trees that "prissi" made some time ago and gave me access to.

I started a new object set called "AuzLandscapeObjects".

It includes:
Natural Landscape
Rocky Landscape
Coastal Landscape
Trees

It includes the landscape that is/was in AuzCreekAndDrainObjects, also some from other object sets.

Here's the sauce and also a game file for those who don't want any sauce.

The sauce

The Game file
AuzLandscapeObjectsSource11August2021.rar

Will place the game file in AuzObject set later with a version of AuzCreekObjects.

The fourth theme is Forests and Trees

I think the main problem with this theme is what new things can we add?

If any one has suggestions what can be added let us know.

So I chose this theme because I was working on some forests and I kept encountering some stuff we didn't really have. On our server we have far more NewGRFs than we really should so if something were to exist, it would likely be on the server.

The main thing I was lacking was options for trees on slopes; AuzObjects only has the default trees on slopes, and the shrubs on slopes. Nice, but I'd like to have a bit more variety than just that. With forests, variety is key.
I can think of a few more things that we don't have yet, mainly objects.

Logging equipment, tree stumps, trees on rocky cliffs, (more) pine trees, (more) autumn coloured trees, (more) cherry blossom trees, and snow aware trees, for example.

Those huge redwood trees, or those yellow birch trees could also be cool.

I am working on my own thing, I just wasn't able to finish it, or get it sufficiently ready for release because I've been preoccupied with other things. I hope to get it done by the new deadline.

Thanks for giving that information .. help gets the mind working on ideas.

I got some fallen trees and the Australian Trees. But got coding wrong somewhere in the Aussie Trees as when placed on slopes they showing the black and red edges.

Maybe I should also place the walking trails and a logging track with the object set that has the trees.

Maybe could pinch some logs from McZapkies Logging Camp and maybe some from Chips set as well.

True .. Funny when I first start the object sets I was asked to reduce the number of GRFs by combining them, so I did that not knowing I will add more later and need to separate them again.

Hope what you mentioned will inspire ideas from others.

Cheers
