I did start working on making a new town set using Fridaemon's graphics, but it is a long way from being in a state to release.

I am also more than happy to accept more art for the North American set!

All my work is on my github at the moment https://github.com/reldred

There are introduction year and end year options. In few cases I set these years, but I let players to use them at its discretion. But introduction year for old flats will be 1950, a for modern ones 1990. I set year 1990 for supermarkets for example.

Today I'm adding snow into these blocks.
I've just added POLL about landscape popularity, please vote ;) I'm curious about that.

Re: Fridaemon's Objects 3: April 29th, 2021 + POLL ABOUT YOUR ACTUAL CLIMATE

Post by Fredinho »

Nice! Well, right now it's subtropical, but I also play a lot of sub-arctic, so I'm happy to see snow! Depends on mood and season, I suppose :)

Very pretty!!

I voted sub-arctic, but because there was no option to vote for Alpine (So temperate grass, with snow).

Voted temperate, because I use OpenGFX+ Landscape with temperate ground in sub-arctic. There are simply more eyecandy objects for temperate.
No pics no clicks. Seriously.

Thanks to screenshots competition I discover this option and I play sub-arctic in combination with temperate landscape. But the right answer for me is sub-arctic :) I asked because I wanted to know how many people use SNOW versions. Gradually I want to add SNOW versions to to most of my objects.

In 12 hours, I'll release Fridaemon's Objects 3.1 with these blocks of flats, I need to add Snow Roofs to the rest of them.

Well, the only thing I can say is that I regret that all those years ago when I started making GRF's that I didnt know about Alpine Climate (temperate grass in sub-arctic) and how to add snow-versions.
It is now the only way I want to play, I really like the change of seasons.
So, I would advise, if you want to put in the effort of making snow-versions, then please do so ;-)

you know, I play an average of about 1000 years on a script, I prefer to have all the objects at hand, and I still go back to some years and vice versa it is tedious.
