Thought I should mention this just for clarification: the GPLv2 license actually doesn't prohibit someone from charging money for derived works, so long as the other criteria are met.

Of course you can kindly ask that no one does, but it is not a requirement of the license. :)

A guy pointed out exactly the same on tt-ms.de, though i have corrected it. I somehow had it in mind that that was on of the Points from GPL, it actually was from CC. But thanks for pointing it out :)

Also (if I recall correctly), you dont have to give credit. (although its just a nice thing to do ;-) )
EDIT: My assumption was wrong:

Code: Select all

A piece of work licensed under the GPL allows you
•to (re)distribute the work
•to modify the work and publish it
under the conditions that you
•keep the copyright notices
•give credits and clearly indicate your own modifications
•make the sources publicly available along with the binary/NewGRF

Afaik you have to copy the copyright notices, if you reuse parts of other GPL-Projects.

Also, I'd need some help:

I've got this code for every vehicle:

Code: Select all

model_life:	VEHICLE_NEVER_EXPIRES;
But somehow every vehicle has a Life of 0 years. Any help?

Are you talking about life until expiring, or life until the engine is considered old ?

when the Vehicle is considered old

So, actually, model_life determines how much time the vehicle will stay in the list when you will want to buy a new vehicle.
For vehicle life, it is in the vehicle_life line. Normally it is under the model_life line.

I can present to you: The ÖBB 4758
It's the brand new Talent 3 by Bombardier and it is already fully finished, and the newest version of the GRF can be found on GitHub.
The Capacity changes on the time of year, due to the ÖBB changing the interior to fit better for activites done in a specific time of year. (Sledging in the Winter for example)
I was unable to find some information like the Power Output. I currently just have 3030kW, which is the Power of the Talent 2.
I also already finished this vehicle a few weeks ago, but I will push the newest version soon, and probably this will be the last vehicle added until the first official release.

Love the set, but I find it difficult to use because the loading times are so long. Is this a known issue or just me? (I've already checked things like platform length etc)

There is a problem with CAT rolling stock. Locomotive works good, but coaches do not change their livery. I have 0.1.1

Fantastic! The whole Set, I was waiting for these trains pretty long.

One suggestion regarding the Talent 3: the train is too long, its 3 tiles long which converts to around 150 meters. The actual train has around 105 meters (end cars around 22,5m and middle cars around 15m), so the train in the game should be 2 or like 2,1 tiles long.

The Github link is dead. Is this project still alive? ?(
