Hi Quast !

Your set is great to have in all my games :) thanks for that

Now i noticed some really bad glitch with some station tiles. They have a bounding box way too high i think. It was probably left unoticed until we have now bridge over stations.

so here is some screenshot showing the glitch and "some" of the problematic bounding box.
Attachments
Kita Tokaido, 10_05_1976.png
the bridge here is two tile higher than the the metro station but it glitch quite a lot.

Kita Tokaido, 07_05_1976.png
probably the reason of the glitch is that those bounding box are set unecessarly high

Yeah I know… Too bad that progress eventually will show bad features... ;-)
Its something that will be fixed in due time, but its a boring job to do, so I keep putting it off.
But now that its more noticable with the bridge over stations development, I will try to put it a bit higher on my to-do list.

Somehow missed these last time I started a new NL game, making sure to snag these for the next one. Those are some sexy stations.

Hello, I would like to request something.

First of all I like to build metro (subway) stations and dutch stations set have amazing props for it. On "overlapping tiles" section there are "metro station, with eyecandy, tunnel overlap" stations. However their size is only 2 tiles. (1 base and +1 overlap). I would like to see an overlapping prop with 3 tiles length (1 base and +2 overlap)

Here are example pictures of what I mean and what is the problem with current 2 tiles overlaps; All these holes can be covered via 3 tiles length overlapping station prop.

Hiya!

Sorry for the late reply, I am not that active anymore on the forum ;-)
I think I can safely say that I have retired from working on GRFs (at least for the near future ;-) )
So, I wont be making the tiles you suggested.
The GRF is GPL licensed though so you (or someone else) are welcome to use the graphics (and code if necessary) to make those tiles you need.

However GarryG has made some objects that probably will do the trick:
Overlaps.png
Overlaps.png (220.44 KiB) Viewed 2554 times
1 base +1tile, +2tile and +3tile overlaps in all 4 directions.
They arent available in the Dutch Station concrete (but a nice piece of grass is always good), but maybe you can ask Garry to make them and add them to his GRF.
The GRF is available on bananas (the ingame downloader), just search for auz + subway.
Hope this helps!

Version 003 uploaded to Bananas.
Not that much, only added a couple of metrostations with 2-way tunnel overlaps:
Example764.png
Example764.png (84.07 KiB) Viewed 1561 times
At this moment there is still no way to get rid of the overhang-penalty (a time penalty when your train is longer than the platform).
So, it's pretty useless. But it's more of a Proof-Of-Concept for 2-way tunnel overlapping road/tram-stops ;-)

Here are the sources, only those new graphics and the .nfo
Otherwise I had to make 3 .rar's again

This could be very useful with extra high capacity metro trains. Some add-ons offer one tile metro units with capacities in the range of 200-500 passengers.

Unfortunately, you'd still need additional uncovered tiles to place signals on them — or else you won't be able to operate more than one metro train in the whole system...

There is a signals in tunnels (and on bridges) patch... It's included in JGRpp
