What breaks? :)
All MU's as per the screenshots below:

Before adding the NewGRF to my existing game... yes, I know it is my own fault for changing grf's in game, but bite me :P

I have been using UKRS2 and this set for a long time with no issues between the two. Granted I'm using BRTrains v0.3.2 so it's possible a more recent version broke it.

afaik UKRS2 works fine with BRTrains. I think the in-game update of NewGRFs is what's done it.

I suspect you dont have "Enabled multiple vehicle GRFs" setting enabled.

Never mind, apparently that isn't even a setting anymore.

I can't replicate this issue. Just tested with UKRS2/BRtrains 4.3.0 on a running game in both OpenTTD 1.7.1 and JGRpp 0.21.0.

On another note, there's a reason changing newGRFs in a running game is disabled by default and a big red box pops up warning you about doing so.

IIRC it was "Enable multiple engines" and I think they just made it default in 1.5.x or 1.6.x

Hi Leanden - really enjoying the set - just wondering whether you knew why the enable multiple sets option might be missing from my game options?

I play with the JGR patch pack

Thanks

The settings have some filters, by default it only shows some basic settings, but you can show more advanced options by setting the dropdown to that.

It's the same for me on vanilla and JGR'S patch pack.

You're both right, might be that it has been removed from the menu, and only is available in the openttd.cfg. There should be a value dynamic_engines, probably set to on.

Then it might be worth investigating which GRF values are used by UKRS and finding non-conflicting values

It shouldnt matter, the game automatically appends an extra digit to the vehicle_ID to prevent clashes between sets.

It would only cause a problem if they use the same identifier, but they dont as BRTrains uses a BR reference for each train.

Conflicting IDs across newgrfs is old old news, long ago solved. :)

There is zero need to avoid UKRS 2 IDs. That route also becomes the start of an impossible quest, as UKRS 2 won't be the only grf that IDs would need to be checked against. ;)

Changing newgrfs on a running game causes failure demand eh?

Sounds like V0.4.3.2 is now on BaNaNaS...

What's new?
Class 465
Class 466
Colas Rail Class 67 & 37
First Great Western (Dynamic lines) Class 180
Special sounds for electrostars
Special sounds for networkers
Simple mode perameter - Only 1 or 2 versions of each class of train is avaliable.

Got it to work: BRTrains has to be above UKRS2 in the GRFList, in both a new game and save game, but it has strange (odd) behaviour:
The 15x series of DMU's are missing in the 2000's.

The EMU's are not all well-formed (see picture)

Thoughts?

It looks like the old version of the networkers have been coded. I can send a link to the new ones if required :)
