Ill try to explain ;-)
I'm not certain what you mean with this, more to the right or more to the end of the building?
If I draw a line from the endpoint to the point where the front-facade changes direction, you can see that the gap at the end goes beyond the endpoint untill it hits a change in the roof angle. This doesnt happen in your drawing.
Moving the gap a bit more to the left will get the effect that I believe may be a bit better:
newdelft-8Q.png
newdelft-8Q.png (82.45 KiB) Viewed 4217 times
However, I may have moved it a bit too much, it is almost halfway of that side, which is not entirely correct I think, a combination of moving the endpoint a bit more to the right and moving the gap a bit more to the left could be better...
with fans out a bit, (bedoel je dan dat het wat uitsteekt?) or do you mean that it looks like its turning a bit?
No ;-)
What I mean is that at the moment the wideness of the gap is the same as on the place where the gap in the windows goes over in a gap at the side of the roof and where the gap in the side of the roof goes into the gap in the flat roof. I believe that the gap should be a bit wider where the gap in the side of the roof goes into the gap in the flat roof, just like with the gap more in the front, I hope this shows what I mean ;-)

I hope I made what I meant a bit more clearer ;-) Feel free to ask if you need me to explain myself a bit more ;-)

thanks for clearing it all up. I'll make the changes in the weekend.

In the meantime I drew an apartment building that's close to my new house.
still needs texturing. but It's just another piece for my slowly expanding dutch city set.

Looking good!! Getting closer and closer!!
I took the liberty to change the colors of the windows, feel free to comment, but also I have drawn what I think should be the roofangles:

This does mean that I had to change the gap at the end a bit, that may need a bit of improvement. Please, let me know what you think about this and I am also very happy to show you why I choose to draw the angles like that.

great that you did the roof angles already, hadn't gotten around to changing them as yet. they look really good and make the roof look so much closer to completion.
about the window colors...I'm not certain about the chosen color for the part most in the shade, at the moment I think that the colors are a bit to close to each other.
but I'll take a look again in the morning. they might grow on me.

and when the result of starting over on drawing a station looks like this I tend to forget the heartache I had when I had to think about starting over.
makes me think that starting over on Den Haag HS and Haarlem will be worth it in the end.

cheers

Good to hear that you like it!!

Agreed, I have made some changes to them, already used some texture for the glass panels, that gives a better idea than using a plain color:
newdelft-9Q_ROOF_02.png
newdelft-9Q_ROOF_02.png (80.88 KiB) Viewed 4037 times
If you like this look then I will also apply it to the glass windows in the gaps. This can also be used for the big glass panels at groundlevel.
But as you may see, I have made some other changes too:
- Recolored the remaining red lines
- Gaps on the left side: Looking at the architects drawings, I believe that the bottom of those gaps should be the same width. Also made the front one of those two a bit longer.
- Small/narrow row of windows at the top of the gaps: Looking at some pictures taken from the right side of the building I noticed that at least the 2 main gaps on the right have a small row of windows at the top. I am not sure if the left gaps and the hole at the front have those too, but I have drawn them in.
- The gaps at the right side have a bit more clearer visible ending, although I am not sure if the ending for the gap at the very end is looking good enough. Although that may also be because of the transparent blue around it. Would you mind pasting this version in a screenshot mock-up to see how it looks?

What do you think of these changes? And if you are completely happy with the roof, I will see if I can apply some texture to that. And (as said above) If you are happy with the way the glass looks, I will also draw that in the gaps.

I really like how the glass looks now, great stuff.
you've got the go ahead to continue with the texturing of the whole building.

Textured the windows in the gaps
Textured the big grey panels in the sides
Drew and textured the tiny little grey panels on the underside of the sides.

If you are ok with this then only windows on groundlevel left to do ;-)

Just posting an update on current events.
my ability to create at the speed I had been drawing at will come to an end.
part of the reason that I was able to draw as much as I was that I didn't have a job.
as of tomorrow I start working again, and that means I will have far less time to contribute.
I was trying to get a release with all the buildings I have finished, out this weekend but I've run into some coding issues and that won't be possible.

I'm going to release the version I've tested later today which contains plenty of new buildings I drew and the buildings Luxtram contributed.
I'll continue working on this and the stations, updates will most likely take longer than before.
All my projects are GPLv2 License.

Congrats on the new job!!

All of this is just a hobby, there are no deadlines or quotas that need to be reached. And every contribution is welcome, no matter how long it takes.

You have contributed so much great stuff already and if you have spare time and feel like drawing/coding then the community (well at least I ;-) ) will look forward to that.

have started on the other view of delft so hope to have a first version of that up soonish.

also released the latest version of DLOS which contains almost 40 buildings which makes me really happy.

I hope you do not mind when I some day incorporate some of them (with necessary modifications) into my building set. :D

So been having to travel to Zwolle the last few days and just had to do a quick first version of the station.
but low and behold after doing this I realize that I will actually need the back view for my scenario, so this looks to be a station that I'll end up drawing 4 views for.
took a few liberties with the station as it should be longer but didn't feel that stretching it longer than the 6 tiles was needed.
I compare the stations I draw now to the VIRM for size, and I think the size is pretty much spot on. will need to take some pictures of the side towards the tracks as I can't find any pictures to work from to create the back view.
still some details missing but this is all I had time for

cheers
