New Loading Bank and Intermediate Station Siding.

I did some Industry Stations like this many moons ago, but changed it, and now I think this idea is better.

The top railway line has a Loading Bank and a Intermediate Forestry Siding.

The bottom line has another Loading Bank and a Intermediate Station Siding. I have used the platforms from ISR to create a station so trains can stop to load and unload cargos. As you can see they line up perfect.

Also done a Loading Bank with Wool Dump .. it will line up with platforms too except the raised Wool Dump sticks up above the platform .. but that just a minor problem.

The Loading Banks no longer have random cargos as in previous version.

I transferred this function to the Intermediate Station Siding and Intermediate Forestry Siding.

Intermediate Station Siding:
Accepts: Passengers and Goods. It also randomly accepts one of the following Livestock, Food and Parcels,
Produces: Passengers. It randomly selects between Milk, Livestock, Wool and Fruit as its second cargo.

Intermediate Forestry Siding:
Accepts: Wood and Goods.
Produces: Timber. It randomly selects Building Material, Fruit, Wool and Cotton as its second cargo.

Changes that will be in Version 4

Added:
Bacon Factory, Intermediate Station Siding (replaced Cream Siding), Intermediate Forestry Siding (Replaced Forestry Siding), Loading Bank (replaced Loading Bank A), and Loading Bank with Wool Dump (Replaced Loading Bank and Wool Dump)

Changed graphics to:
Locomotive Workshops and Abattoirs

Renamed Wool Cargo to Wool and Hides.

Changes yet to make:

Change the graphics to the 2 Goods Sheds so they too will line up with platforms.

Changed the graphics to the Goods Sheds so they will work with station platforms.

Top row are the Goods Sheds as they will appear in the AuzInd170 set.

Bottom row if you use ISR platforms with them. They should line up with other platform sets if you prefer different.

Copy of version 4 if like to try .. I'll test it a bit more and if all ok hope release on Bananas later.

Noticed a error in AuzInd sets .. when I add a new Industry I only been checking these make sure they working .. but today I checked a few other Industries and noticed the Sawmill grows produce.

Somehow I accidently placed info in the coding to make it work like a farm :D

Noticed AuzInd160, 161 and 170 has this problem .. I guess the AuzIndScen will also have same problem.

Strange part I never touched the coding for Sawmill .. at least not to my knowledge .. it came either from Firs 1.4.3 or SPI as I been using codes from both to try learn something.

Anyway I fixing the problem and hope the Industry sets be available within next 24 hours.

Hope to add one more business to AuzInd170 .. another Parcel service as there is only the one in game or I arrange for the small Goods Shed to accept and produce parcels which they some times did. Smal stations either had a parcel Office or a Goods Shed .. usually not both and people could send a parcel or goods from either building.

Btw, I dunno if theres enough space, but I was thinking that if anyone ever wants to add their own Printing companies, there should probably large and small printing companies, Large ones that print tons of books, posters and news papers, and the smaller printing companies that exist in many towns that print tons of office documents, local news papers, small book runs, basically the kind of Printing company/shop you can walk into as a normal person and have them print like 200 missing posters for your dog for like, 5 cents a page.

Probably have room for something like that just all cargo slots are full .. except in AuzInd161 .. the smaller set it has 2 spare cargo slots.

Glad you brought this up .. as checking the cargos and just realised in AuzInd170 no one accepts Gravel. When I added Limestone to go to Cement Plant and Lime Kiln and I removed the Perway Siding .. this has left no where for gravel to go to. But got 5 places producing it.

I got a bit of re-planning to do.

EDIT: Having a look at FIRS Industry sets .. Gravel (Stone as it been called there) only went to Cement Works and Lime Kiln. So maybe best if I remove Limestone and Gravel and call it "Stone" like FIRS has done .. that way better suitable name for to go to those destinations and any new places that can be dreamed up.

Has any one got ideas where stone be needed besides the Cement Plant and Lime Kiln?

Only places I can think of is if I put the Perway-siding back in the game and deliver stone (ballast) for railway track works, and maybe also add a Council Depot for road works.

This has freed up a cargo slot .. so do I include Paper as a Cargo? And add Printing Works and as NekoMaster mentioned a smaller printing works as well.

Or has anyone got another idea for a cargo?

Been playing around with NekoMaster's idea with Paper as a cargo.

Already have a Paper Mill in game so it can produce Paper and I've arranged for it to be delivered to Shopping Centre and I renamed the Grocer' Shop to Printer Shop.

Also arrange for one of the Bulk Terminals to also produce paper so no have to places to produce it and 2 places to deliver it.

How often would people order something from a business and it be delivered when ready either by mail, parcel on train or courier?

Even in the 1800s I imagine people order something from a Printing Shop and could take days or weeks to get it made and the Printing Shop would arrange to have it delivered to the person who ordered it.

So I wondering if I could add Mail and/or Parcels to be produced by some Industries, especially those that don't produce anything.

When I worked at Broadmeadow Railway Station (NSW Australia) in the 1970s we had Food items sent as Parcel on the passenger trains. Some things that was sent overnight on the mail trains would be boxes of frankfurts, cakes, crumpets, bread, bags of Oysters, even Ice Cream would be sent it big creek bags and arriving off the passenger trains would be bags of beans, peas and spuds. Boxes of fish, prawns, and crabs.

Many small towns didn't have all the facilities so there things would be sent as a parcel on trains, and later when better roads and road vehicles also sent to them by road.

So I wonder if the following Industries could produce Mail and/or Parcels to deliver their orders to clients in other towns.

Butcher and Green Grocer, Food Processor, Brewery, Printing Shop, Hardware Shop, Shopping Mall.

Any way here's version 5 of AuzInd170 with Paper Cargo added and Limestone and Gravel combined and called Stone.

The idea of parcels and Mail being produced by a few Industries if I go ahead with that idea be in version 6.

Some places like Textile Mill only produce GOODS could also produce Mail or Parcels for smaller clients.

Version 6 of AuzInd170

The cargo chain comes to a dead end at some Industries as they never produced any cargo ..
so I added either Mail or Parcels to some of these places .. it represent where people have
placed an order for something and arrangements have been made to have it delivered.

The following Industries now produce Parcels or Mail:

Butcher and Grocer
Hardware Store
Printing Shop
Shopping Mall
Super Market

Also changed some cargos with the 3 Wharves.
Wharf A produces WOOL and COTTON
Wharf B accepts the WOOL
Wharf C accepts the COTTON.

Hope that makes it a bit better for those who like using ships.

I'll play around with version 6 for next 24 hours and if all seems ok will release on Bananas.

Any players find any problems or can suggest any improvements please let me know.

I will be releasing AuzInd170 on Bananas today.

I made the following changes.

These Industries that I added Mail and parcels to for them to produce:
Butcher and Grocer
Hardware Store
Printing Shop
Shopping Mall
Super Market

I also added so that they only produce depending on size of town. No matter how much you deliver to them it will not increase what they produce. You have to increase town size to produce more.

I renamed Minerals to Copper Ore.

There are 93 Industries and 32 cargos.

The game is designed more towards the players who like to make their own scenarios and place the Industries where they wish. A random made game you will have lots of industries.

There is room for a few more Industries .. so if you have a suggestion for a Industry let me know, but it must accept and produce the cargos that are in game as no room for any more cargos.

Please let me know if find any errors that I missed.

Yep .. all the mines and Quarries will accept a cargo of some kind.

The timber for the underground mining to hold up the roof of the mines. The open cut mines need fuel.

First of all, this is a very nice industry set you have made here. I have started a new game with AuzIndustries, and i must say that it is very fun to play with it. Thank you for developing it. I have a few question regarding it.

1. Is there any city growing script working with this set?
2. What is the point of stockpiling resources in Goods Shed? Since the Production (parcels and supplies) is not affected by the Requires (parcels, goods and fresh produce).
3. I think there is a bug somewhere. The Flour Mill refuses to produce food, even tough i have provided all the required resources. It is still waiting for resources.. I have attached the save file, in case you want to take a look. I am using JGR latest patch pack.

Yes .. should be working with passengers, mail, goods as well as any of the variety of different food cargos.

I originally made the Goods Sheds and other railway type Industries to place in a scenario I been trying to make because I didn't know how to make Platforms and Stations. What version of AuzIndustry you using? I didn't have that problem previous versions of AuzInds .. but not sure of the latest version as didn't test it thinking ot should be ok.

I'll do some tests and check your saved game tomorrow when I got time. I don't use JGR, so problem might be with that loaded.

Will put a report here as soon as I checked.

Fixed the Flour Mill and food production.

Here's the update .. copy will also be placed in Bananas found under the name of "Australian Industries Set AuzInd".

When I finish the Station sets hope to make a new Industry set.

The Goods Sheds, Loading banks and Wool Dumps I plan to remove these since they will be part of the Station sets and act like actual stations, and replace with something different. Thinking of replacing them with Industries and Commercials normally found in towns.

Never used the patch pack when testing anything I coded as wondered if anything I coded and tested in JGR's game weather it would still work in Games where people not using this patch.

It might work in one and not the other.

It really shouldn't make a difference. I wouldn't bother testing all those GRFs with all patches either; it's the job of the patches to work properly, by and large ^^;

I'm just pointing out that if you want to test savegames that are made with a patch pack you need to use the same patch pack to do so ;)

Thanks Pyoro for letting me know .. I now have both 1.7.1 and the patch game loaded so should be able to test most saved games now.

Had a muck around with the patch game yesterday .. quite good with the extras in it.

Much thanks to Quast65 for teaching me how to make railway stations and platforms for the game.

I now hoping to make changes to the Industries in coming months.

Looking at idea of removing the following Industries and replacing them with something else, and remake these as railway stations:
Carriage Workshops, Goods Sheds, Grain Silos, Intermediate Forestry Siding, Intermediate Station Siding, Livestock Siding, Loading Bank, Loading Bank with Wool Dump, Locomotive Workshops, and Parcels Office.

All those hope to convert them to railway stations and make some industries you would often find near those.

If you have an idea of a Industry or Commercial that could be built in or near a town to replace any of those let me know and see what we can do.
