I used oil tanks from one of FIRS Industry to get the shape of the tank.

The arch section tried do from a water tank in Bankstown Australia.
There a lot of arches and failed to do them when first tried, so tried the wider ones.

I see, I think then its the combination of seeing the perspective of the old one and the new one so close to each other that is putting me off, together with the arches holding it up that look a bit odd with them ending that way at the sides.

The new one is probably good regarding perspective. Maybe start with one without those arches..

Like someone said before, round shapes are hard in OpenTTD perspective, not only to draw, but also to comprehend when looking at them ;-)

Trying to make the cargo chain a bit longer before GOODS and FOODS are developed.

FOOD is fairly easy to add the extra chain:

For Instance Food Processing Plant instead of producing FOOD now produces Processed Foods which then go to Commercial Shops from there it becomes food to go to towns and cities.

Livestock go to Abattoirs and produces MEAT and Processed Meat and then goes to shops before it becomes food.

They add that extra link to the chain.

Ports and Bulk Terminals will still produce FOOD as it been imported from another country.

GOOD is a bit harder:

I looking at adding a cargo called Wholesale Goods or Wholesale Merchandise.

For instance Steel would do to a Machine Shop or Metal Fabrication Plant to become GOODS .. I like to add another link in the chain by adding Wholesale items that can go to shops such as hardware store, department stores and maybe furniture stores and from there it becomes goods.

Printing Shop instead of producing GOODS .. it produce's Wholesale items (books and printer material) this can be sent to shops and from there it becomes Goods.

Whatcha think? Maybe you might have a better suggestion?

a question for over Industrial coders .. if I placed a industry in a town that accepts Goods, Mail, Food or Passengers .. will it still help the growth of the town?

Regarding the perspective:
New one is more correct than old one.
Maybe remove 1 horizontal row? Here is a quick one (excuse me for ruining the water):

Some points:
1. Doesn't look like brick. Maybe use another color as if it is metal?
2. Needs some random dithering, patterns are visible.

Like to do more to Industry set for a few days, then take time out why I try and to enter the screenshot competition.

The AuzInd2021 I feel still needs more work, but wonder if any one like to test it over the weekend and give me a list what think could be changed.

This spreadsheet is Office 2013 .. 2 pages
.. the first lists the 63 cargoes (still got 1 spare) and has a formula to count how many cargoes of each are accepted and produced.
.. the second lists the 83 Industries and what they accept and produce. .. Would like to reduce these numbers so added a remarks column marking what I think could be removed.

Been experimenting over the weekend with the Industry layout figuring out how it would look better.

Things that I feel could be changed:

1. Too many big Industries .. I think I should make Industrial Estates where several Industries be joined together.

2. Arrange so the big industries are closer to the towns and cities ..
-- Low Density Industries place these within 10 to 20 tiles away from towns.
-- High Density Industries place these 15 to 35 tiles from towns.
-- Mines and farms place these 40 to 120 (or more) from towns.


If no object with that idea hope to start working on that in a few days time.

Be very little work to projects today and tomorrow as busy with family commitments.

Update to what happening with the Industries.

Not been able to do as much as I was hoping over the past week due to family commitments.

Started to join some Industries to see how they would work. Was hoping to have others done by now, but have not had the chance.

I've played around with AuzInd2021 lately, and the hotel (pub) doesn't seem to accept goods of any kind (tried different ones).

Thanks pal, I fixed the problem and be in next issue .. I left out the code

On inspection of the other Industries found a few more with same problem.

I got a few adjustments to make to the Industry set and could take me a week or two to finish.

Still intend to join a few more Industries.

And as mentioned a few posts back.

Now have 68 Industries in the new set AuzInd2021.

Wondering now if I could add some Industries that I don't have without needing to add any extra cargos .. I'll have to do some research.

Some I doubled up on.

Credit to most of the graphics goes to those involved in making FIRS 1.4.3 many years ago.

Added another Industrial Estate.

It has Household Appliances Manufacturing that produces electrical goods (Wholesale Merchandise) and Juice Factory which produces Fruits Juices and Cordials.

Andythenorth been kind enough to allow me to use his Salt Mines from Firs 4.

The reason I wanted it is that salt can be delivered to a variety of Industries such as Textile Mills, Chemical Refinery, Food Processing Plants, Dairy and Creamery Factories and grocery stores.

I have 1 spare cargo slot .. I might add Soda Ash which is also mined from Salt Mines and used in Paper Mills, Chemical Refinery, Glass Manufacturing, Juice Factory (sweeten soft drinks).

We shall see what happens as time goes by.

I guess I can upload the update of AuzInd2021.

Some items you might e interested in:

- There are 63 Cargoes (hope add one more eventually)
- There is 68 Industries .. several are several with 2 industries joined.
- If you wish to play a game where you start with no Industries or buy Industries during play they are all cheap to buy.
- Farms, Mines, Forest and Sawmill all coded to be no closer then 30 tiles from a town.
- All the others Industries are designed to be in or near towns no further then 30 tiles away.
- (except the Bulk Terminal, Port, Wharf and other water based Industries which been unchanged as bit hard to make these be close to towns I think)

Uploaded both game file and source .. any one wanting to use any of my work in their own projects are welcome to do so.

You need a larger map. 512x512 is the smallest size that is likely to have all industries.
I have tried tweaking all the settings . I got the error on all the options except my first generating of the full 4096 x 4096. Every subsequent generation of a map gave the error again. And that first one didn't *actually* have a Flour Mill on it.
I don't really want a 4096 x 4096 map size, but it isn't even working anyway. Does anyone actually know the requirements for the flour mill that aren't being met? Is there a work around?

Strange why Flour Mill not been loading .. wonder if version of OpenTTD you been using?

I just tested it on a 256x256, 512x512 and 1024x1024 and flour mills appeared in all 3 maps.

Wonder if this version same as one your using.

Thanks for that report .. also found a few others that needed the special_flags .. I have 2 AuzInd2021 sets in production .. one with all the Industries separate and this one with some of them joined. I know several weeks ago I added those special_flags to the other set .. but forgot to do this set. :roll:

EDIT (20/4/2021):
Some things I forgot to do with the Industry set .. not sure if changing them will interfere with a game players have in progress.

- Fishing has was to many fishing boats. Suppose to be only 2 or 3 boats.
- Some of the farms are set up wrong. Some buildings are next to each other when there should have been a empty tile space between them ..
- The Poultry Farm, it was not intended to have so many poultry sheds .. was intended to only have 1 and then you can build the rest using my object sets.

Not sure when I get those patcged .. probably be next week.

I've been asked if I could add a rice farm with bananas. If I do graphics be something like this. I have room for one more cargo so probable could add rice.
