Huh? No, I was pointing out it was glitching up because it was built on sloped land.

Not sure how to fix those graphic glitches .. I checked cods to other Industry graphics to see why they don't glitch and not see what I missing in some of mine.

Hope I work it out soon.

Industries are meant for flat land. Not sure why that isn't the case here.

Prevent the tile building on slopes ;)

Industry tile prop, set land_shape_flags to LSF_ONLY_ON_FLAT_LAND https://newgrf-specs.tt-wiki.net/wiki/N ... properties

There are fancier ways to handle slopes for fancier effects, but LSF_ONLY_ON_FLAT_LAND will solve the problem in the farm screenshot above. ;)

I seen that command elsewhere and thought it would go in "item(FEAT_INDUSTRIES" somewhere.

But a search and your help I eventually found it goes up a bit higher with the "item(FEAT_INDUSTRYTILES" after " accepted_cargos: [[MAIL, 8], [PCL_, 8]];"

See if I can make these changes over the weekend.

Bit tied to do much now as been train travelling all day.

I got the Post Office wanting Flat Land to build, but no success with Cattle Station and Sheep farm.

But I notices all the farm type industries will build on some hilly areas.

I put the " land_shape_flags: bitmask(LSF_ONLY_ON_FLAT_LAND);" code on those industries but no effect. So must be something to do with the "switch(FEAT_INDUSTRYTILES, SELF," codes.

Maybe the stock yards in those 2 Industries should be removed and made 2 separate Industries. Whatcha think if I did that?

The Shopping Mall, one of those cargos should have been FISH it now been fixed. My keyboard often makes spelling mistakes .. got no idea why :roll:

Here the newgrf AuzInd3 with those repairs.

Been making changes to the Industry set and called it AuzInd5.

It has 90 Industries and 32 Cargos.

So that the parcels offices can be used with my Station Sets I removed the previous one and added 4 new types and called them Railway Parcels Office A, B, C and D.

Each type has 4 different directions .. they accept Parcel cargo and produce limited amount of Parcels depending on size of the town.

They can be part of the railway stations and platfors like this.

There is also a Courier Service designed for road transport that also handles Parcels as well as Goods. Depending on size of town how much cargo it produces.

Made some changes to farms, Grain Silos and some other Industries be removing the "PRODUCE CARGOS DEPENDING ON TOWN SIZE".

Only Industries that build in town such as Post Office, Super Market, Shopping Mall, Baker, Newsagent, the 4 Railway Parcels Office and a few others will only produce depending on town size.

Be a while before I add this to Bananas as have a few more changes to make to some Industries be changing the graphics. Not sure when I do this as working on several projects and skipping between them each day.

Hi,

I had a PM today from Romazoon too about a problem and I tested with OpenTTD 1.8.0 and also JGR version 25 found no problem.

But wonder if it is with "nearby_station_name:" .

Most industries have 3 strings, but just a few only have 2 strings.

For instance Shopping Mall only had "nearby_station_name: string(STR_STATION, string(STR_TOWN),"

So wonder should there be a 3rd string? Maybe "nearby_station_name: string(STR_STATION, string(STR_TOWN), STR_IND_shoppingmall));"

Haven't pit sources here before as still improving graphics and ideas on this set.

Any way here all the source including graphics for AnzInd5.

Thank you! I simply commented out the "nearby_station_name" property for all misbehaving industries and it seems to be working now. So it's definitely related to that, but I wasn't able to identify the root cause of the problem as some had 2 strings and some had 3 strings, and the code looks like it should work.

Here's a list of problematic industries which we identified:
- Shopping Mall
- Parcels Offices
- Courier Service
- Country Village
- Power Plant
- Soft Drinks Factory
- Post Office

Additionally, industries related to Food Processing get a ? in the station name, might be a related issue

I will give all these an extra "nearby_station_name" and see what happens.

I don't play the games on a server so will have no way to test.

See if I can do something about this before I hit the hay later. and place new one here.

I've added a extra string to "nearby_station_name" on those Industry mentioned.

I added "STR_IND_shoppingmall" to shopping mall and similar to the others.

But I have also been playing around with Graphics past few days so when I got the next release ready .. hope in a few hours time, it will have new graphics to Bacon factory, Abattoirs, Livestock Sales Yard .. I removed the loading ramps so they will match up better with the Livestock Platform ramp in my AuzFreightStations. But after making these changes, maybe I did it the wrong way around. But writing this message now makes be think .. maybe the ramps should been left there and I just modify the platform to match those ramps??



Also been thinking of removing farm supplies as a cargo and deliver Fuel and Chemicals to farms instead.

In real farms do receive Fuel supplies .. and chemicals are fertilizers, used in crop dusting, drenching livestock against lice and fleas and be other uses as well.

This will free up one cargo which I like to make it another Grain so have Wheat as one cargo and Grain (cereal crops .. oats, corn, barley, rice to name a few) as a different cargo. (If you have a better idea of a new cargo let me know and see if your idea is better).


Try get the changes made as quickly as I can.

Hi all,

Thanks for bring to my attention some of the errors that been found. I probably would have never know that there was a problem when used on a server as I never play games that way.

I've added the extra string to the "nearby_station_name" and hope this will fix the problem.

A mistake I found in cargos .. the Bacon Factory I had producing "Meat" and "Farm Supplies", the "Farm Supplies" should have been "Processed Foods" (representing Bacon, Hams and processed Pork).

I've left it as Farm Supplies in this issue in case it interferes with any saved games.

So that the changes I keep making not interfere with saved games with AuzInd5 I plan to make a AuzInd6 with those change and also removing the Farm Supplies all together and replace it with WHEA (Wheat) and also keep the GRAI (Grain to represent other seed crops such as Oats, Barley, Corn etc)

I think Fuel and Chemicals can be supplied to Farms as mention in the last post I did.

The reason I making these changes is to have as many Industries I can match up with the Station sets I making.

For instance the Grain Silos.
The silo of left is the Industrial one. On right same Industry with Silos and grain loader from my Station sets.

Hope this update to AuzInd5 has fixed the bugs players found.
