I working on Footbridges as Objects.

Using the ones from Dutch Station Addition Set.

Here's a sample.

From left to right .. First 2 are the ones I made they can be used to cross over railway lines and roads but no stations. The Far right is a combination of Dutch Platforms with Footbridges and ones I did. As you can see my bridge not quite join up with the originals .. passengers will just have to jump over that gap.

I can make them to cross over double tracks and will try single tracks too. If want them to cross over more then 2 tracks use Dutch Station Addition Set as the have plenty to choose from in the Stations as well as some footbridge sections in the Waypoint.

Hi all, it late here but I had to keep at it till I got some more foot bridges done.

Now have them facing NW, NE, SW and SE .. each direction has 3 combinations so they will line up with most of the Dutch Station Set.

Anyone like to try this for me while I get some shut eye.

I uploaded version 5 of this to Bananas not thinking I be successful making the foot bridges.

After I finish these lot to match Dutch Station set .. hope to try make some with out the awnings.

Hi .. been playing around with Footbridges .. like to make the so they fit all dimensions and also link with the Dutch Station Footbridges.

Also want to make the stairs face any direction as can see in this image.

We need to separate them into 4 groups .. NE, NW, SE and NW .. pending on the direction the stairs are facing with the original one.

Would you use these in you game play?

Finished doing the footbridges to match almost every combination to connect with the Dutch Stations Additions Set and also if just want to cross 1 or 2 railway lines and/or roads without connecting to a station.

If want to cross more then 2 railway lines need to use the Dutch Stations Additions Set.

Those who not seen the Dutch Set go to this forum http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php? ... &start=180.

They might work with other stations .. I just haven't tried as I like the single platforms in the Dutch set.

Here a sample for you to try .. I going to try now make some more Australian looking footbridges with no awnings, made of timber, and usually not painted. Be just making these to cross railway lines and roads.

Awesome stuff here! I'd like to use it with the opengfx baseset, but the groundsprites don't match for some items, nor do some of the river joiners (see attached).

Hi Zooks ..

Thanks for your compliments .. your more than welcome to use any thing I do.

Some basesets they line up and some they don't.

Making them on single tiles don't allow much room to overlap next tiles .. so I think I need to make them again on the tiles that have the overlap tile attached. This should give me ample room to extend further.

When I finish a few more footbridges I will see what I can do with the creeks and rivers.

This version has updates to the river ground sprites as requested by Zooks.

I using the xUSSR Set. Static Objects .. as the grass isn't so green.

The fake rivers, fake bridges etc work ok with my settings.

If any one had problems before please give this test with what you use see if still any errors to fix.

Been communicating with Quast65 from Dutch Station Addition Set, version 0.8. many moons ago I sent him suggesting about these footbridges extending paste the stations like I have done in the Objects. I suggested to him about L and U shape Stairs. Hope with his help will eventually do same to the footbridges I made so the stairs don't overlap to another tile space.

It past midnight here .. bedtime.

Been adjusting the rivers, creeks and Storm Water Drains .. hope the fit properly with all the baseset rivers.

The all fit near enough to perfect with what I use.

Sorry I got no creeks flowing up hill yet. Still need to learn how to make these templates, coding for slope sprites sizes and how to tell them it on a lean.

Hi fellas,

My next project for Auz_Lineside_Objects .. is a Coal Stage.

Here is a sample still under construction.

The pieces of the main section can be joined like the one of left.
Still need to build the part with buffer stops and the ramp up to the top.
Also see if I can make some coal shoots along the side.

The track behind the coal stage is a dummy track .. trains can not travel down this road and trains will not be able to go on top.

I hope the ramp I can do a dummy connection to the dummy tracks.

The coal hoppers on top of the stage on the right are from my AuzTrains and NSWTraihns. I need to make 2 types .. one with and one without the hoppers.

Hope you will like when I get it finished.

Update just the coal shoots and joining the tracks to go .. then I do some with coal hoppers on top .. maybe put a steam loco on the back dummy track?

I like to thank and give credits to the following:

NuTracks - all the per-way (fettlers) who built the NuTracks .. I used the Very Slow Speed Track to make the Dummy tracks and the tracks that go up onto the Coal Stage.

Industrial Stations Renewal (ISR) - all the makers of this set .. I used bits and pieces of different section to make the buffers and the coal dump on top.

FIRS - The sides of the Coal Stage originally designed from one of the fences in the FIRS set.

The pieces are designed to be mixed .. can have the stage empty or can put some hoppers on top. Only the line at the front is operational .. other two are dummy tracks but will line up with original tracks that you use, especially if you use NuTracks.

I think following that there are very few who worked with 32bpp graphics. Everything is now trying to represent 8 bit graphics. That is very easy! But so that the game developed no further.
I'm a programmer for mainframe computer! Also PC and notebook have evolved. Ships with 18,000 containers! Or "The CAT" a ferry in Australia built! but one thing has remained OpenTTD in 8bit.

32 bit do look nice but I old player with the 8 bit so all my projects will be the 8 bit for now. Been playing this game since it came out on Floppy Disk and has the DOS operating system.

There are some 32 bit programs on BaNaNas. I notice a Chinese 32bit train was put there today. Enjoy playing the game style you like, but I will stick to the 8 bit for now.

Hi .. I forgot to do the cross beams on the coal stages to stop the sides from bursting and the coal falling out on to the tracks.

So I'll delete the one above and put new one here shortly.


So the dummy track that runs at back of the coal stage not be empty, I put some loaded coal hoppers there with a steam loco attached as one of the choices.

Hi again ...

Keep finding ideas with the coal stage .. I think this is final . ... for now.

Was going to put dirt and coal under the coal stage, but was hard to see the stage it self with so much greys and black so I leave as is.

You can not build the Stage with or without dummy trains on the dummy tracks and on top of the coal stage.

If anyone like to use any of the codes, graphics etc welcome to do so.

Wow I love that coal stage. Keep up the good work.

A weird problem I am having with the passenger carriages.
Sometimes when i buy a car from the HUB,NUB and RUB sets it is invisible.
It only happens some of the time and i cant figure out any reason for it.
I first thought it was when it chose candy colours but they seem to appear occasionally for most cars.
It certainly looks funny having a train with two or three invisible carriages.

I thought I fixed the invisible carriages .. have to have another look.

Just tried the NSWTrain set .. HUB Sets ok just the RUB set problem. I see if can fix now before I play any game and put update here.

Appreciate people reporting problems as most I would miss finding as hard to test everything.

Glad you like the Coal Stage. Shame not able to get trains to go on top and deliver coal like a industry. Maybe someone out there might know how to do that?

I updated the AuzTrains and NSWTrains .. these can be found on page 1.

I fixed all invisible coaches that I could find.

As suggested by Mikk, Sugarcane can also be carried in Open Wagons and Flat Wagons. I choose Flat Wagons as that basically what they use around the sugarcane fields on the trams.

Now I will go play the game for a while and see if can see why Parcels Office and Port not doing as they been told.

Well, Port is working properly now in Auzind .. but still need to find out why some industries that create raw material are closing as soon as game starts.

Auz_Lineside_Objects:

Finally having a chance to start a game last night discovered that some footbridges have animation on railings at top of stairs and some had on the pylons .. these all been fixed.

Many many thanks and appreciation to planetmaker he came to my rescue to make creeks on slopes.

Not sure why when building the creeks on slopes that 2 icons have the blue question mark .. but they build ok and it does not interfere with anything.

Before I upload the latest version .. I hope to play a while and see what else can be added to this set and might need fixing.

I have noticed that the coal mines and iron ore mines seem to disappear when there are lots of them on the map at the start of the game. It usually leaves at least one behind and it doesnt seem to happen when there is only one or two to begin with. I havent played with any other industry sets lately but I dont remember this happening before.

It doesn't matter if a few or lots they still close .. only the Open Cut Mine doesn't close.

To test what I make I build a scenario with just a few towns and 2 of every industry to try test them easier .. but the mines close as soon as I start a game. Why it do this? Your guess as good as mine at moment. I still looking to try find the answer.

EDIT:

Has any one ever sat at their desk turning everything upside down trying to find something that you know should be there .. then you walk away to do something else then come back and what you been looking for it right in front of you .. been there all the time? :D

Some people tell me I'm blind in one eye and can't see out the other .. maybe they right :)

That happens to be me the past few weeks trying to find why some industries closed.

I was working on 2 industry files several months ago .. the original and a experimental one. Some how I released the experimental one months ago and not realised this until just now what I done.

I've located the original one and it working fine. To be sure I will run it for a bit longer to make sure and if all goes well .. will release it on the other forum in a few hours.
