Thinking of using the pub as a plantation house in FIRS. That ok?
That should be ok .. Coalroads_Artists would like having his work put to good use.

Never thought of the building as a plantation house .. must admit it very closely resembles one.

Here's some images what I have done for next issue of Auz_Lineside_Objects.

Put a gate on the white fences, put fence around some employees houses and put a ladder on the water towers and water tanks.
Now you can go swimming in the towers and tanks.

Maybe that water tower could be used for the Auz Industry set to deliver water too? Then again, I imagine that outside of major towns and cities, people have wells of their own in australia. At least that's what happens here in Canada for rural towns.

Using it on the FIRS Vineyard. Eh not done yet, need to improve shading.

Bonus - you can have the small building if you want it to match the pub. Up to you. ;)

Maybe that water tower could be used for the Auz Industry set to deliver water too?
New South Wales Railways delivered water to isolated railway stations and sidings. On the North Coast was a water train once a week delivering water to employees who did not have town water. Out west the station I was at (Euabalong West) had a water tower and several water columns in one of the sidings to fill a water train and it would deliver water along the line towards Menindee. At Menindee would refill with water and deliver between there and Broken Hill.

So your idea might we something to look at.
Using it on the FIRS Vineyard. Eh not done yet, need to improve shading.
Might be good in Cotton Plantations too.

Shading is my biggest downfall when doing iimages. Close colours hard for me to tell difference. When ever possible I find someone else building of the colour I want and clone the colours to mine or in some cases use other peoples images.

The rivers don't match when using them with opengfx+ landscape :(

Hi Zooks, They work ok with other land scapes, but looks like I need to extend the river graphics a few feet so will work with what your using.

See if I can do this and have a new version available.

Put in some more houses .. read in one of the forums awhile ago someone wanting to be able to put single house away from the towns .. hope these be sufficient. Intend to find some more houses.
Also did some Barracks and Log Cabins to bring back memories of those who went on school vacations to camping grounds and stay in buildings simular to these, also can be used for Scout Camps and Army Camps if like.
Three types of fences so far.

The Log Cabins are courtesy of McZapkie's Logging Camp and the rest taken from bit and pieces of Andythenorth and his crew's FIRS Industry Set.

Awesome, yeah it fixes the river overlay, though not the other tiles that link with rivers (e.g. the creek-river joiner or the fake river bridges)

Sounds like they need a few more feet of water too. Will fix shortly when I complete what I doing now which is:

Adding water columns to the water towers.

Want the column to go between 2 lines. Usually see this at crossing loops and at stations so trains can take on water from either lines.

I used the Trackbeds so can see it better.

Update again:

I've added a few extra feet and a bit more to Fake Bridges so hope these work for in OpenGRF + Landscape now. I tested some and they looked ok.

This version has water towers and water columns.

I moved the Pub to the Houses and Buildings section.

The Water Towers with the columns designed so column will go between the tracks if wanted.
There are also some single columns so can place where ever you wish but not between 2 tracks.



I calling it a night as been at it long hours today.

Been experimenting see if Water Tower will look if made it taller and a bit bigger.

Compare and let me know which one to keep or leave both in game?

Since no one has downloaded last Auz_Lineside_Objects .. this one has both the Water Towers so can use in a game and see what you think.

Just wanted to say thankyou thankyou thankyou
I have been playing transport tycoon since day one and your additions have made it a hundred times better.

The trains, the stations, the industries and the extras are just brilliant. I only ever use your stations buildings now. Combined with a few sidings, a goods shed and maybe a fuel depot or stock yard it is the most realistic this game has ever been for me.

I have found a bug in the industries. For some reason no matter how much coal etc I deliver to the steel mill it never produces any metal. Same with the port. The only industry I can get to produce metal is the iron works.

Lastly, and I hope you dont mind suggestions, but one thing I keep hoping for is footbridges. Your station buildings make nice double track stations but they look funny with no way to get between platforms. I wish I was talented enough to have a go at them myself but alas I am just a gamer with no idea how it all works behind the scenes. I seriously appreciate that there are people like you smart enough and kind enough to make this stuff and give it out freely for duffers like me to enjoy.

Hi Mikk, thank you kindly for your feed back. Glad you like what I doing.

All my projects being added to almost every day when think of new ideas.

My programming skills not that brilliant .. I try learn from what others have done and use their coding .. still have lots to learn.

Good lot of fellas (gals too if there is any) in these forums as they always happy to help.

Your the first to report that issue. I'm actually in the process of re-building the Industry set. All my factories are from FIRS and SPI and many of them require all the cargos before they start producing. That idea is great for those who like a challenge, but those who just play for the fun I hoping to make some changes so they will produce small amounts and this increases when you start delivering stuff to that Industry.
Lastly, and I hope you dont mind suggestions, but one thing I keep hoping for is footbridges.
Me too like to make footbridges. Until some are made use the Dutch Station set as they have single platforms and foot bridges that work with my stations.

I like to try build a foot bridge can be used any where not necessary at a station to cross over the railway lines but also across roads when roads are close to the railway lines. Not sure if the coding in NML will allow footbridges yet? Anyone out there know if it can be done?

Keep watching this forum and update for testing will be made available here regularly.

Update: I just tried the Steel Mill and I too not get it to make metal. That the worse part of making these projects .. we test what we make each time to see if that works, but not always think to see if it has stopped something else from working properly.

Rely on people like Mikk to report problems as not get much time to play games and code same time. Rather then try repair, I intend to re-make the Industry set from scratch.

Im glad you are keen for people to test and report bugs. It sometimes feels like whinging and maybe a bit insulting when you tell someone something is not working or wrong. Im more than happy to test stuff out and report back. I have been playing a lot lately.

Hi Mikk, re-doing the AuzInd was too quick as have a few bugs to iron out. Raw material Industrys closing as soon as game starts. So rebuilding again. Bear with me .. could be a day or 2 before finishing and hope the bugs. Cheers

Nah, for most of us making things a good bug report is always welcome. We want to make good stuff. ;)

It's only insulting when people start making demands as though they have a right to our time. :D

(Can't speak for everyone making newgrfs, but I know enough that would agree with me).

I totally agree with you. Often hard to find time to make these programs and test them properly so I appreciate others who can play and test them and find if any problems that been missed.

We can do simple test as we add each component and things seem to us to work ok .. but we often not get time to see if what new things we did to the program has conflicted to something we did earlier.

So those who don't know how to program but do know how to play .. your always welcome to test what the programmers have done.
