The red colour looks too clean, maybe more texture?

1. It's not clear it's a double decker in / and \ view
2. In _ view, there's only 1 pixel below the low deck windows, this is too less for the passengers to sit in, I guess...

Nice!
Apart from the colors, it's very similar to the ALe 426 of the Italian railways. It will feature in the forthcoming Italian set, coming to you in... 2 or 3 years? :))

Happy New Year!

I was bored, so I decided to make a maglev based on the Lev3 Pegasus. I know it's very basic but I've decided to make cargo cars for it, to make a complete set.

(I tried to post this 2 days ago. but my connection was awry.)

Looks very nice.
I have too much on my plate currently to try coding something.
But, I'm always happy to see new graphic artists. :D

Thanks for the positive comments.

I made some more carridges for it. A goods van, and a hopper truck (which is crap.).

Just for fun, Jules Verne's Nautilus, from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. It's pretty basic, and based on the Hindenberg from the Planeset, but we can have fun in life can't we?

P.S. No real diagonal views yet.

I decided to make a small quick .grf file from the lovely little dutch buses Purno drew on page 4. There are two buses.

Here are the Windows and DOS files.

This is my first try. Thanks to Purno's tutorial :D. How did I do?
Can someone code it for me? I really want to see it in the game.

please have in mind that i want to use it in OTTD(if it makes any difference).

And can someone post an image with the original maglev tracks(or tell me how to get it). I want to try and make something better looking.
edit: never mind i just found them :). But still how can I extract them?

Does anyone know the current status of available ID's for trains? I remember Lakie once posted a list of all available ID's - back at July 2004 as far as the DBXL set regarded;

Code: Select all

...
59 Coal Truck
60 Oil Tanker
61 Livestock Van
...
63 Grain Hopper
64 Wood Truck
65 Iron Ore Hopper
66 Steel Truck
...
68 Food Van
69 Paper Truck
70 Copper Ore Hopper
71 Water Tanker
72 Fruit Truck
73 Rubber Truck
74 Sugar Truck
75 Candyfloss Hopper
76 Toffee Hopper
77 Bubble Van
78 Cola Tanker
79 Sweet Van
80 Toy Van
81 Battery Truck
82 Fizzy Drink Truck
83 Plastic Truck
...
91 Coal Truck
92 Oil Tanker
93 Livestock Van
...
95 Grain Hopper
96 Wood Truck
97 Iron Ore Hopper
98 Steel Truck
...
100 Food Van
101 Paper Truck
102 Copper Ore Hopper
103 Water Tanker
104 Fruit Truck
105 Rubber Truck
106 Sugar Truck
107 Candyfloss Hopper
108 Toffee Hopper
109 Bubble Van
110 Cola Tanker
111 Sweet Van
112 Toy Van
113 Battery Truck
114 Fizzy Drink Truck
115 Plastic Truck
Some of these slots were filled with new trains, 115 for the EMU680 and slot 114 for the BM73. Since then, is it to assume that Michael has used even more ID's? Have this list changed in any possible way since summer 2004, or could it still be used for single train graphics added to the game, (for those of us using the DBXL set)?

I know for a fact that the TGV-Atlantique has the same ID as the "class 103" in the DBXL set. :(

Purno i used your TGV atlantique to make myself an TGV Sud-Est
is that alright?
and it has some problems...
does someone know why:
1) it flashes from orange (suposed) to yelow?
2) it is called an TGV Atlantique?

if someone wants to have a look at it just say so and i'l place the .grf...
also coments acepted  (do note this is my first TTD train...)

Sure, as long as you credit me (which you're doing now) it's fine

Most likely you used action colors. Specific colors in the TTD palette change color in game, like the colors used for the lights of railroad colors, or fire (I think you used this one). All you can do is pick another non-action color.
2) it is called an TGV Atlantique?
Dunno TBH. I thought it was, but I'm not sure anymore.

Did you make your own code, or did you use someone else's code? In that case, you gotta ask permission of the code author too.

Its called the TGV Atlantique because its route takes it from Paris, through Orleans and Tours and down to Dax, then across to the Atlantic Coast down at St Jean de Luz right in the corner of France.

ow the coder is Szappy right?
may i use your coding?
(i'l edit it however)
you will be credited!!!!

EDIT: color problem fixed

thanks purno!

Gkirlov, I've made a grf with your graphic, keep in mind that it is my first try in coding grf.
