Hutt city objects ( In progress )

Hutt city objects ( In progress )

A while back I got into creating 8Bpp sprites for Openttd, and with the help of Chujo ( Who i am very grateful of ) coding up the buildings, i hope to make a release sometime soon.

The set will contain not only skyscrapers and urban objects, but will also contain services (Hospitals, police stations and fire stations) and some buildings which i think add realism to cityscapes, and i am also experimenting on using 2 buildings placed together to 'Bypass' the bounding box limit, which could result in some very tall buildings.

In the future I hope to add some more skyscrapers and buildings, and i also hope on making unique styles ( Asian buildings, European and generic American ). I am also open to suggestions on what buildings I should add. I also need to texture some of my older assets.

Hi is there any interest in recreating famous railway terminals around the world? Would love to see more variety in train station buildings across different cities

Good to see you started your own set. You be able to create some of the suggestions you gave me :D
Maybe even be able to design the roundabouts you been wanting. :D

I'm not currently thinking of creating railway terminals, but i could definitely create some parks/structures that could look good next to terminals from packs like Dutch stations.
Maybe in the future i could do some like grand central station or some airport stations which would fit in with fake airport objects :D

Currently unsure about roads, thinking of making a road set ( with 32bpp so i can be lazy about noise ) and creating an object set similar to your AuzRoadobjectsaddons with some extra pieces, although at this point its a tad bit too complex for me :?

Im not currently thinking of creating railway terminals, but i could definitely create some parks/structures that could look good next to terminals from packs like dutch stations.
Maybe in the future i could do some like grand central station or some airport stations which would fit in with fake airport objects :D

Experimenting with splitting a larger building into 2 to make it 'bypass' the bounding box limit :o

(WIP) A small skyscraper meant to be in the nooks and crannies of cities, going to add shading and texturing soon, as well as some planters out the front for decoration

If I could advise you something, it would be to take care of urban greenery, because there are already too many buildings, or public buildings.

I should probably do something like that, maybe a few empty tiles for potted plants and plazas?

Are you planning to add in this set some small (1 tile) police station, fire department, ambulance, post office? It would be nice addition as so far we mostly have such objects, but they are 2x1 or 2x2 size which is too much for small town.

I had a look on google earth to day at a small town in Australia see what those buildings might look like.
Police station just looked like a normal house from the front with a shed to the side to house the police cars and a building attached to the back which I presume be the jail.
Ambulance station again a house with 2 sheds to the side to house the ambulance.
Fire Station a small office type building with 2 sheds to the side for the fire engines. Looked like a house behind probably for the fire captain to live in.
So should not be to hard to make them.

If Mrsunman like to be first to have the privilege to try making these be great. Also be a good learning point for you.

I've already done 2 2x1 clinics (In European style and generic American style) and a small police station, thinking of doing some larger ones which are 2x2 for more urban areas.

I could always do some small kiosks though, as i am hoping on this set having an asian style and thus would be a pretty good addition to the pack :D

Finished the pointy roof building! I will now see if I can do RoyalExamination9410's police and service kiosks, maybe I could do an extra modular building to fit in with those toll booths from Fridaemon's road stops :D
