I've found another ghost light, but now I have a question. What's the best way to report things like this? Just make a post every time I find something like this? Or is there a better way?

Vehicle in question this time is the Mail Van (Medium) from 1860
1860s Medium Mail vans have this flickering red dot too!

Rear light sprite is bugged for nearly all vehicles, no need to report any more on this issue :)

I'll fix it and then we can have another release ;)

Probably lower speed and higher capacity than the Iron Pony roster. Exact details still need worked out and tested :)
Can idiots like me have the option to run both rosters simultaneously? Because reasons 8)

Hi andy! I have noticed that Metro trains use company colours of Electric locomotives, not EMU's. Did you plan it this way?

It's a bug! Well spotted, thanks :)

Fix will be in the next release

Well, I suppose I could just do that. I mean it wouldn't be the first time, oh the horrors I've wrought on my own copies of the swedish and jp houses sets...

It's a bit early days, cos the Iron Pony roster isn't even finished yet.

But eh, options are:
  • One parameter to choose roster, only one active at once, like FIRS economies
  • One parameter for each roster, on/off, turn on as many as you want
  • One parameter to choose roster, only one active at once, except if you choose an 'enable all rosters' option in the menu
There wouldn't be any code problems having more than one roster active.
Game balance (tech tree, speeds, capacities, dates) would be all over the place, but eh

Is Chinook locomotive borrowed from the planned American roster? I am not specialist but it's name and appearance seem to be different from the other stuff in Iron Pony.

Also a question about electro diesels. According to the description Ultra Shoebox has power of 1267 HP, further description says power on diesel is 1250 hp. Which value should be correct? Same for another electro diesels I've inspected.

1- The chinook is british, if you look back through the thread you may find someone pointing out it's real name.
2 - The description of what it says on diesel is accurate for when on unelectrified track.

The issue is caused by the player setting for power units.

1267 metric hp is 1250 imperial hp.

OpenTTD will automatically translate the basic power in the description.

The additional text for 'power on diesel' is provided by the grf, and I don't know how to translate that reliably, but there might be a way. :)

Iron Horse 2.0.0 Alpha 18 now on Bananas.

Player bug reports have been super useful, thanks, keep it up :)

Changes from 2.0.0 Alpha 17
  • sprites complete for Pegasus steam engine
  • tweaks to Tencendur sprites
  • use player's EMU livery choice for metro trains
  • set correct positions for wagon tail lights
  • remove tail lights from engines, railcars etc which need custom tail light sprites drawing (later)
2 trains left to draw, then the beta is ready

1 year and 362 days since starting Iron Horse 2, version 2.0.0 Beta 1 is now on Bananas :)

Biggest known issue is incomplete cargo sprites.

Report anything else you find, it's been super-helpful getting reports from alpha testers, cheers :)

Changes from 2.0.0 Alpha 18
  • sprites complete for
    • Bean Feast steam engine
    • Cheese Bug steam engine
  • add tail lights to railcars, metro, high speed trains and very high speed trains
  • improve general appearance of tail lights
  • for vehicles with variable power, buy menu text now displays using correct power units, instead of always being imperial hp
  • tweaks to multiple sprites

And it's time to remove "stick to 1950-2050" warning from the description.

Andy should High-Speed trains use livery of MU's or locomotives?

    Locomotives.

They have dedicated passenger coaches, and there's no way to use the MU livery on those.
