Cool, is that some kind of GE U34CG inspired locomotive I see on the bottom of those North American style locomotives?

I think it might be interesting to have a North American style set up with the set (though I wonder if there will be an option to enable ALL trainsets perhaps? Or maybe I could easily enable them all in code)

It'd sure be cool to have both NA and UK rosters in a parameter. After all, playing with both UKRS and NARS is nice.

It's more a P30CH, with some SDP40F and F40PH mixed in. ;)

The others are a GE Baby Boat / Alco Century mix, and a generic present-day GE / EMD 6 axle road unit.

This is just doodling at the moment, 53% of the UK Horse roster is not drawn eh

Minor bug: when reversing, the 0-10-0 Big Bertha loses all power and can't exceed 1 mph. See screenshot. The other locomotives in the set reverse without issue.

It seems it weirdly becomes a Cotton Candy Hopper, in this case a car. Which NewGRFs did you load along this one ?

Because it's using a different ID for the tender, which becomes the lead vehicle when the vehicle is reversed.

Articulated vehicles are not reversible in standard OpenTTD, and derive most of their properties from the lead vehicle. Any patch which makes them reversible without taking this into account is likely to produce bugs like this; not necessarily always as obvious as this one, but, for example, callbacks which were only in the lead vehicle chain will fail to be processed correctly.

I'm not sure why you're asking this. There were more diesels in the UK even in the 40s. In some specific regions, of course, but your depot would show at least 2 diesels if it really was realistic.

It's well-known that Andythenorth hates diesels. Don't ever let him become a Time Lord, he'll make you very sad. :_(

I'm going to have a break from the forums again.

I won't stop working on grfs. Just there are better places to talk about them.

Threads here get these nonsense contributions from acs121. And they don't stop.

I've tried ignoring it. I've tried engaging nicely. And I've tried being blunt viewtopic.php?p=1214361#p1214361

But it carries on. It's boring. I don't know what else to say. I'm stumped.

It's not a rage quit, I'll be back in a few weeks or months.

I should get a better sense of humour about it. My bad.

Ok, so some assorted railcars, some 08s, and LMS 10000. Not exactly masses or even worthy of inclusion in what isn't even meant to be a fully prototypical set anyway.

Please don't troll people who give up their free time to create amazing content for the game.

I’m pretty certain throughout the tag line of this set ends “based slightly in reality”

SLIGHTLY in reality.

In any case, I’d love to know which of the Big 4 were buying diesel locomotives in a Britain that was desperately recovering from the Second World War. Testing maybe, but why would you include those?

I suggest you take a step back and consider the impact such strangely critical feedback has on people. What were you hoping to achieve from such a post? Surely you recognise you might cause offence, for little point? Something to consider I think.

Hoping to see more from Andy soon.

I get it. I can only say this.
It wasn't even criticism, it was just a simple remark. People got it like it was critical feedback while I was just saying what I thought. I can't force Andy to draw more diesels and I don't force him to.
I mean, i might take a break from the forums too one day. Every time I do an observation, everybody thinks I am trolling and never take me seriously. Really. I'm getting sick of this by now.

1947 or so.
Really nice pictures!
I wouldn't say it was the highlight of my day (would sound a bit pathetic maybe), but I'm always eager to see what is being added to this set!
Iron Horse has really nice graphic variety without having loads of engines. It is easy to use. I really like it.
And based on the numbers of downloads in Bananas, that is certainly also the case for the vast majority of players, even the ones on the forums who don't post messages that often.

Keep up the good work!

"Take me for a pony ride"

----------------------------
Iron Horse 2.0.0 Alpha 1 Release
----------------------------

Iron Horse 2. Now on Bananas, or http://bundles.openttdcoop.org/iron-horse/releases/2.0.0-alpha-1/

It ain't done but it's kind of fun.

Stick to 1950-2050. Trains introduced before 1950 may have unfinished sprites.

Designed to be used with 'vehicles never expire' set to to 'off', Horse 2 has a lot of vehicles and crowds the buy menu unless expiry is used.

*Release Notes, for the Reading of*

- use with Termite railtype grf to get Metro and Narrow Gauge trains
- the alpha doesn't contain every train planned, stay tuned for future cookies
- running and buy costs are set, but might need tweaks
- vehicle sprite alignment issues are known
- extensive cargo sprite support, but some cargo sprites are known to be missing
- no savegame compatibility with Iron Horse 1
- can be used _alongside_ Iron Horse 1, if you must (kind of odd, but eh)
- there are hidden BAD FEATURES, for the curious
