Oh no, you might start a war again mentioning that... though I dunno how many people even remember or even care now.

I still miss those "BAD FEATURES" but enh, thats why I learned NML so I can eventually make my own North american set (Think OMEGA NARS)

Small translation questions (hope this is the right thread):
  • the "metal car" is a car that carries metal, right? Not some passenger car made of metal (as opposed to earlier models made of wood)?
  • the "supplies car": is it a box car? If so, in what way is it different? (sturdier, slide doors, stars on the roof...)

Pretty sure the Metal Car is a car for hauling HEAVY METAL MUSICIANS AND FANS!

ALso I'd imagine that a supply car might be hauling heavier goods like machinery, vehicles, and perhaps things like fertilizer, bleach, acids, etc (use your imagination for the supplies contained within)

Hey! New to the forum here.

I love the new steam trains, great for pre 1950 games, but why are they so fast? Those I used were superior to trains even into the 1960's. Is there any price mod for this train set?

In 1960 IRL the steamers were already very fast ;) The trainset is said to be based slightly on reality, so that could explain things.

The purpose of the set is to provide a small number of trains and wagons that focuses on improving gameplay with the FIRS industry NewGRF. They're loosely based on real world engines and designs, but the focus here is to have fun, not realism.

andythenorth wrote:In Iron Horse 1, some trains are quite over-powered (OP). Notably they're all quite fast.

Iron Horse 2 will rebalance this a little.
