Hi Planetmaker,
I've got a DOS palette for GraphicConverter, a very good graphics editor for Mac. Would you be interested in adding it to that list? Should I just attach it here or send it to you through PM?
Yes, I'll be interested. Whatever way suits you better :-)

Re: GRFCodec Problems (Formerly UKRoads /w Signs)

Code: Select all

C:\Users\Leanden\Desktop\NML>grfcodec -e UKRoadsetw.nfo
Encoding in temporary file UKRoadsetw.new
Loading sprites/UKRoadsetw.pcxssed:100% (Transparency:100%, Redundancy:100%)
sprites/UKRoadsetw.pcx: Error: Unrecognized palette, aborting.
Specify -f on the command line to override this check.
Type in exactly the same command as you did. Using exactly the same files. And i downloaded the grfcodec nightly from the devzone.

EDIT: I downloaded the latest release and it worked, which would imply to me that there is something wrong with the nightly.

Now that i know it works, i'll start working on this properly. Still got the problem that i can't see the GRFID in that NFO though.

Good luck with this Leanden! If you're really full of spare time, you could look at the lack of Total Bridge Replacement Set and UK road set compatibility? :D

Goes to show how long ago it was that I actually issued a grfcodec encode command... But you're right; I really should pay more attention to these things...

Is it possible in NFO to randomise the sprite for a T-Junction?

Looks pretty good.

You say the yellow flashing in Arctic is known about; What about the tunnel rooves? They flash yellow spots in all 3 normal climates. ALso occurs in the road menu on the tunnel icon, and the freight station icon.

Apologies if you already know about this.

I fail to understand the purpose of this post/quote-without-reply, please elaborate.

so... why should 100 people reading these forums be forced to do a useless zoom in when you could cut the image to the right size with 3 clicks?

Actually, that's Leanden's screenshot from the first post. So he spent three clicks to add the white area and make the file ten times bigger :p

hey you are kidding guys ? right ?

This Forum is really a hatefull place... i mean i m trying to help Leanden by showing something and all i get is stupid hatefull/answer...

You guys really think i was adding the white stuff in purpose ? for your info, i simply copied the image, pasted it in paint... added two circle...saved it and posted it back on the forum...now, if your not interested in the shot, nobody forces you to open it , also i just can t believe someone spend some time writing this :
FooBar wrote:so he spent three clicks to add the white area and make the file ten times bigger
