I've finished the Iyo-Tetsudo^ trams! My girlfriend agreed that they looked realistic. (she lived in Matsuyama where those trams run)
There are three types of sprites in my .png top to bottom:
- Modern 2100 series;
- Old livery 1000 series;
- Old 2000 or 50 series. (2000/50 series differences aren't noticable in sprites)
I hope they are of any use!
edit: mistaken order of types in description! Please ignore the description given with the sprite!!

Great! Glad to have these trams!
How many more would we need, in addition to those already existing, in order to have a set covering all the usual years?
I don't know what data trams need, I suppose HP, years, and capacity?

I concur on the realism...Toni Babelony wrote:I've finished the Iyo-Tetsudo^ trams!
They look great... you've even managed to get a nice yellow happening. I tried to draw a Yellow tram from South Osaka and it was not easy. Well done!
As for data on trams, I've found a good link for the trams I've drawn, but am a little confused on how 'emperor years' translate to western years.
I should have a properly coded GRF by the end of the week.
You mean, a complete one? Would you want me to post it on the Japan trains website with the rest of the Japanset GRFs?

Yeah, I thought it was about time...
There may be slight adjustments over time with regards to ArticulatedRVs, etc... I'm still coding that patch... but the Trams themselves will be right to go.
I want to add more over time as well.
btw, for the information for my trams, I use:

Update on the Odakyu 10000-series Romance Express! It can now run in 4-car consist realistically! In before the Odakyu 10000-series could only run in 11-car consist.
Please check out this link for more information. (if you can read Japanese)
http://www.railfan.ne.jp/nagaden/1000-touchaku.htm
Nagano Denki Tetsudou (Nagano Electric Railway) has bought two 10000-series trains of a 4-car consist. The trains are running in the Japanese alps under the name 'Yukemuri'. The name of the local hot-spring. Now you can run your Romance Express as a local-express service realistically!! *Isn't that great?

Yes, anything's possible. Sorry I can't offer more specific observations. Unfortunately I haven't had time to run proper tests and that's unlikely to change in the forseeable future due to my schedule.Korenn wrote:only that train, and only in that direction, and only when going over tracks on a foundation? that's a graphical oddity indeed...
would it be possible that it does that for all trains on a foundation in that direction, but that you don't notice because only this train has a light bottom railing?
Still, because the glitch was of a type I've never seen before I thought at least I could bring it to the attention of the relevant authorities.

This 2-Car EMU also comes in Maple Orange
Should I finish off the sprites? Could we get it working so that you can only ever have it consisting 2-Cars?
This was my favourite loco in Japan; operates from Demachiyanagi Station in North East Kyoto and takes you up Mt Kurama to a beautiful temple.

How is the new landscape coding coming along? Or, put another way, I'm a little confused as to exactly how many GRF files are still in progress, and by whom, which are keeping us from a full public release. I don't have signals, and I thought there was a new buildings GRF coming out. We've also added some new trains, but I'm not sure that needed a whole new coding before release. I'd like to have the trams ready too, if we can, but I'm not sure if we've got enough of them and I know nothing about Japanese trams. Anything I'm missing?

Ok... the N/S views aren't the best... but my pixel-magic-skillz0rz aren't on my side today.
As for the Trams GRF... It's nearly ready to go. I just need to incorporate a few stats that I have just received

I went to add that to the website, but I don't know any of its stats, e.g. the date. Can you post those please?
