Good to know... and good to hear from you, Steven.

We both only work on this set at very irregular intervals these days. But I think we can release a decent update pretty soon.

Okay, we have another sort-of-major release of the Japan Set ready. Updates have been uploaded to Bananas for Trains, Trains Addon, Buildings, Stations, Tracks, Landscape and Bridges (Total Bridge Renewal Set for Japan Set).

Tons of bug fixes, fixing most of the issues reported here and on the Devzone. Big thanks to everyone who reported. Otherwise, the station set has recently received the most attention. The new version of the stations is, unlike all other updated files, *incompatible* with previous releases.

I have also created a pdf-guide for the entire Japan Set, which can be found in a new release thread that I am about to create.

@DanDan You might propose a Japanese-ish (or more generic East-Asian) economy for FIRS? Can't guarantee I'll do it, but I'm interested what it might contain. :)

Restrictions
- max 32 cargos
- some cargos are pretty much fixed by the game / FIRS, including pax, mail, food, goods, and the 3 supplies cargos.
- it would be a v3 FIRS thing (at least year away)

Up to you whether you're interested in this or not, I won't be offended :D

@Andy,

yes, great idea. I have thought about it and even played around with the FIRS code myself at some point. (With an old version, nothing we'll be able to salvage probably.)

I am awfully short on time at the moment, but I have some ideas. I'll PM you.

I might be able to help with that if there is any need-- I certainly have no shortage of time.

I really need to allocate some time to this on the weekend and play the game.
It's only been a few years since OTTD has even been installed.

Thank you, dandan, seriously. Am extremely appreciative that you found the time to work on this and polish it up.

You mean for stuff like the temples and shrines etc.? We could do that, but I make no promise.

What for? As industry I can kinda see the point - they can actually accept and produce PAX then - but as objects...?

Did you refit those wagons? If yes, can you post the game that's showing the problem?

Oh damn...playing TTD for years and never used that thing. I am used to that every material has its own wagon so never cared about it.
Thank you for clarifying it though. :]

Hi, just loaded a game, but encountered an error.

Japan Tracks don't seem to work. I get the message: invalid sprite 541. I am using the latest version of all JapanSet NewGRFs.

I did have them working before, but they don't seem to now, for some reason.

I have attached a file showing the problem below.

Are you also using the "useless tracks" newgrf for planning/lifted tracks? I've encountered that problem only when loading both at the same time.

I would not use Japan Set 3 Tracks with Japanese Train Set v2. That train set has its own track set contained in it. I don't know if this is related to the error in that screen shot.
