Problems with BR Graphics Set

Post by LazzaH »

Hi all, can anyone help/advise?

I have TTDX Patch 2.0 running with the BR Graphics set. Firstly, I have to start in 1965 as there are no steam locos at all, although I think this is correct as the steam stuff hasn`t been implemented yet?. When I start in`65, there is a tender for a steam loco, plus the first BR loco is the Class 08 Shunter.... although this is named "Collier Pannett Tank (Steam)"! As new locos/DMU`s are introduced, some have the proper BR designations, but some have the old style names as with the shunter. Also, I get messages saying the new types are available, but they don`t always appear in the "New Vehicles" list, some do, some don`t.

Am I doing something wrong somewhere, i.e. in the config file, or are these known bugs with this graphic set?

I forgot to mention that I tried that, and "Cht: allvehicles" immediately after, but it didn`t work.

Have you got a VEHICLE.DAT file in your TTD folder (a custom vehicle names file)?

Delete it then: it contains custom names for the original vehicles, which wreck the names of new vehicles.

Yes. Thank you. That did the trick. However, why am I missing some of the locos? I am presently at 2013 and am missing the 73, 86, 87, 90, 91, 373 EuroStar and the 390 Pendolino. Any ideas why?

A pendolino in the BR set  . Am I stirring up things now or doesn't that belong there?

The Pendolino has recently been introduced onto British railways. It might not be BR per se (i.e. it wasn't used by the nationalised BR) but it is used nowadays and, as such, deserves a place in the BR set.

I'm noticing a pattern there. Those are all electrics. If you are using electrifiedrailways (?), then you need to build an electric depot to see them.
Bugzilla available for use - PM for details.

Yes. Eventually. Ronnie tells me he'll be working on those at some point.

More on that story later.
